we made reservations through groupon. they book quickly when their reservation calendar is available so you have keep on top of it. we picked a sunday afternoon. we didn't eat or drink there because there really wasn't much room at the paint tables but we didn't miss that. it would have been distracting or us anyway. (we went somewhere else before hand to eat.) they had preset seating and it was great - we had a good view of the instructor and her canvas. I can't remember her name but she was amazing. she was clear and concise and patient with us. she had a very pleasant personality. the atmosphere was so positive. we really enjoyed our paint night even though we don't have too much talent! we will definitely go again!
I recently went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. There were 6 people in our group. We wanted to do something other than hang out at a bar or restaurant. I do have artistic skills but others in our group do not and they did well. We all had a great time. The paint bar itself has a cool vibe and fun decor. The place and employees are very welcoming. The instructor was upbeat, encouraging and very helpful. We ordered a bottle of wine and a few appetizers. There are non-alcoholic drinks available also. There was quite an age range of people at this class. The youngest person looked about 9 yrs old and the oldest person appeared to be around 60 yrs old. I like that you can view the calendar online to see which painting you would like to paint and then sign up for that date. I would advise planning ahead because the dates book up fast. This was our third attempt at making a reservation for 6 people. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star rating is because we felt really cramped. You don't have a lot of room to work in. We had to place our appetizers on our chairs and stand up to paint until we finished our food. Even then, you had to be careful not to accidentally bump your arm into the person next to you. A little more work space would definitely improve the experience.
We had a lot of fun painting at Muse Paintbar. You don't have to be good at painting. The instructor was very helpful and showed every step in making the painting. The food wasn't that great so next time we'll go to a different restaurant first.
We loved our instructor, painting and group. It was a wonderful painting experience. Don't go there hungry. Their idea of food is a joke - reheated frozen stuff from BJ's.
I had a really good time here! I was invited for a party and I'm glad I went! The class was about 2 and a half hours long and you could get there up to half an hour before your class started to get drinks or snacks at the bar. The instructor was very nice and taught well. She made it incredibly easy to follow along, you definitely don't need to be an artist to make a beautiful work of art!
I had a great time so did my group of friends and family. We were there for a Sunshine Kids fund raiser. We were their 3 hours and it was loads of fun!!!!We saw the painting that was picked for us to paint. We were all saying no way can I paint that. The instructor was amazing he walked us thru every paint brush, every stroke. It was lots of fun we took a 10 min break for a drink and snack and before you knew it we were done. the best thing is everyone's painting was to their likings and all looked great. It was fun I would do it again.
Went for girls night out, and was nervous beforehand because I am not artistic in the least bit. While I was skeptical of my skills at the beginning of the night, the instructors made me feel very comfortable and were great teachers. It is great that they will only guide you. Their menu was also great, espdcially the hot brownie with whipped cream, I highly suggest it. It's a great night out for groups!
This is a perfect place to do something different and interesting! Is amazing to discover some artist qualities in ourselves!!! Is fun have some wine or beer while you paint <3
I went here with a group and had a great time.....it was a lot of fun but we were pressed a little for time toward the end. It is a fun place to have a party or fundraiser. would go again!
Me and my family (wife and 2 teens) went to Muse on a Friday night to paint the "funky tree." I should say that I have no artistic talent whatsoever (and ditto for most of my family). The way Muse works is you sign up on the internet (not sure if they allow walk-ins). Their calendar is available about a month in advance. They usually pre-select a particular painting for each night. Muse is not cheap- about $35-$45 per person. You paint a 16" x 20" canvass and get to take it home at the end of the night.we had a very enjoyable time at Muse. The instructor gave step by step instructions on how to mix the paints to get the colors that you want and how to paint. For someone with no artistic talent like me, it was not hard to do. While no one is going to purchase the painting that I painted, i was pretty happy with the process and the end-product. I was able to personalize my painting as I saw fit. My son actually decided he didn't want to paint the "funky tree"s that was selected for that night, and he painted something else entirely. I saw some people use totally different color combinations than what 90% of the people were doing. The time involved is about 2 to 2.5 hours. They serve drinks (at extra cost) and food (which we didn't try since we had just eaten). My major complaint, my only complaint, is they didnt have air conditioning. It was a warm summer night, 78 degrees, and it was sweltering inside! Very uncomfortable! It was actually cooler outside than inside the store.
