I came to this restaurant with my wife and friends to scope the place out for a Wedding Rehearsal for our friends. The Lunch Service was slow but the food was excellent. Wide selection of fish and meat very American style menu in my opinion, but the inside has a very warm western feel with animal mounts and various decorations scattered around the place. May return if back in the Lansing Area.
most places in williamston are boring and over played. this place happens to be fun and full of life. usually it's busier than the rest of the restaurants in the area. at least they have someone running the place that has worked in a restaurant before.
Went on Mother's Day. The buffet was terrible. The buffet was filling, but the taste left us wishing we had gone somewhere else.
This is a nice little hangout for locals. They have a cheap bar menu, and a decent salad bar. Service is fast and friendly, and trivia nights are always a hit. Don't expect anything fancy, but it's great for a quick and cheap dinner, or one or two drinks with your significant other on a Thursday night.
Great place to have dinner on a summer evening. Nice view out over the golf courseOccasionally they have live music. Quality of the food has been inconsistent in the past, but I have heard that this has improved.
Ok, this review is not about the food. The food is great and well priced. It's the restaurant that is SO DATED and falling apart. IT'S TIME, DAVE, to put some $ into the restaurant. The tables and chairs are ancient and lopsided . . . folded napkins under table legs to level the tables. Food on the floor (carpet). Dirty menus. The "older" ladies room was dirty and stinky. Both paper towel dispensers were broken. A roll of towels was sitting on the counter. One of two soap dispensers was broken and the front missing. Floor was dirty. I was told that the "newer" mens room stunk and was dirty. They say you can tell what a restaurant's kitchen looks like by the cleanliness of its restrooms. OMG! Salad bar wasn't refilled and nasty looking. Water stains on the banquet room wall from leaky windows. Outdoor stairs leading to/from the banquet room are seriously in need of a paint/stain job. One board is sticking up and just waiting for someone to trip over it. Really . . . routine maintenance is mandatory and it's not being done here. You need fresh eyes on this place. I don't think I can go back until Acme Cleaning has been through. Sad to have to write this review, but nothing has been upgraded in years at the Brook and it's time.
Enjoyed 18 holes of challenging golf on this well-maintained course. Rolling hills with trees and water. Front and back nines reversed on my Bushnell GPS.
Our family and extended family have met at this place for holidays, get to gethers, or casual lunches. Food is always good. The pavilion out side is especially nice for children., Our waiter was wonderful!
Service can be slow but the steaks are usually quite good. Beautiful setting with reasonable prices. Would like to see an upgrade in the salad bar... More variety and REAL bacon bits!
I was looking for a restaurant that was between Brighton and Lansing, so a friend recommended The Brookshire Inn to me. I never realized that the restaurant was open to the public until she told me that she had been there for a bridal shower. I decided to give it a try and I'm glad that I did. It was a wonderful dining experience! When we first arrived, the parking lot was packed (it was a beautiful day and a lot of people were playing golf), but there was plenty of parking, so it wasn't a problem. The restaurant wasn't very full when we first arrived (everyone was playing golf), but a short while later people started piling in. We were greeted promptly and the waitress was very pleasant. There were a lot of choices on the menu, so it made it difficult to choose just one. The special that night was prime rib, so I decided to give it a try. When I asked to substitute mashed potatoes for the french fries, the waitress was more than happy to honor my request. The food was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. They had a nice selection of wines, too. They have a large dining area and bar area and I noticed that they have outdoor dining, too. The service I received while dining was great. My water glass was replenished often, the dirty plates on the table were cleared away quickly and the server was efficient and friendly. I enjoyed my dinner so much that I decided to order a take out of the macaroni and cheese. I had it the next day for lunch and it was wonderful. I will definitely return to this restaurant and will gladly recommend it to others!
