We weren't able to go to Billy Bob's at night, but it was worth it going in during the day. It's kind of like a museum of the musicians who have played there. The world's largest belt buckle is there too. There is a lot to see as you wander around the bar, and there is a good gift shop inside.
Love experience Billy Bobs and second time over a period of 4 years and loved both times. fantastic atmosphere, great bands. A must if visiting texas!
This place is like an amusement park for all those who love country music, cowboys, rodeo...or those who what to see this place because it is one of the biggest Honky Tonk places in the USA and the world. When you step inside, you find yourself in big space that is divided into sections. First, there is a huge open space with open bar and billiard tables, biggest buck belt hanging on the wall (Guinness book of records). Then you have rodeo plaza, where on certain days/nights you can watch real rodeo with cowboys riding bulls, different bars/restaurants with exhibition of the electric guitars of many famous musicians like Willie Nelson, wall with palm prints of musicians who visited this place and left their mark in rock and country music, large souvenir shop and mechanic bull ride where they will take your picture for memory (you can dress up like real cowboy for this). In the main room, at nights, live country band is playing and you can see many people dancing to the music. It is a scene you can see in cowboy movies and if you are not originally from the States, this will be very amusing. Lots of memorabilia from different decades, like old pinball machines, country outfits etc. I highly recommend this place.
It was Brett Eldredge concert.Great place, great music! And a really great bull riding!! Must be seen!!I intend to go back
This place is a behemoth - it's worth going to the Stockyards to check out the nightlife and shops anyway, but make sure you check out Billy Bob's. Where else can you find a bar, concert hall, rodeo, gift shop, dance hall - all in one place? It's HUGE! Just when you think you've walked through the entire place, you turn a corner, and there's a whole other section. If you want a true Texas experience, it's not to be missed.
We ordered our tickets online and were able to easily and fastly able to get them. We saw Easton Corbin and he wax great. This was the first time we have been in years and the first time we took our girls. We all had a great time and can't wait to do it again soon.
While in Fort Worth, we made sure to stop at Billy Bob’s Texas, “The World’s Largest Honky Tonk” which is often featured on the country line dancing shows on TV. I’m not sure if it’s ALWAYS family friendly, but it sure was the night we went. Our boys, who were only pushing 3 at the time, got out on the dance floor and cut a rug! Great music, good food, and a lot of fun.Http://www.griswolddad.com
This has the feel of a run down Texas bar that you go back to time and again, Though it's size is big enough to accommodate large groups, whatever section you are in doesn't seem huge, so it still feels good to be there. They usually have a live band playing before and after a concert takes place. This is not all tourists, thought, there are always true cowboys in their wranglers and hats doing the two step on the dance floor. Don't forget to see the hand prints area of all the famous people who have played there. In the concert venue, there are long tables you will be seated at, which is great for 40-50 yr olds who don't want to stand a lot. There really isn't room for everyone to stand. The sound quality is terrible, so go for the fun of it.
Concert seating is not the best and a waitress MIGHT come around once to serve drinks. Everything else was great! Good food, great atmosphere. Drinks are priced like its a tourist attraction though. Glad i went but probably not going to be a destination trip for me again.
We were there last night and wanted to buy some t-shirts. The shirts in the store had stickers on them saying "designed and printed in the USA" with an American flag. Upon further inspection we discovered that the shirt was made in China. Really? You're located in the heart of America and you're selling crap made in China just like Wal-Mart! And, charging ridiculous prices. All in all, we had an OK time but the bars were seriously understaffed for a Saturday night with a concert going on. Standing shoulder to shoulder with 50 of my closest friends at the bar waiting for a drink is not my idea of a great time. The bathrooms were difficult to find and not in a great location.
