We walked every level. My kids really enjoyed it. The Christmas decorations were beautiful. My kids learned a lot and had a great time.
Definitely worth a visit if you have some free time. It is a nice walk around the capitol as well, with some memorials and art worth seeing. Try to schedule a (free) tour if you are a big company or 'ride along' one - a lot of little interesting facts that you won't hear otherwise. If I am not mistaken, they have stopped regular tours (they used to have 2-3 per day) which was quite disappointing, but call in advance to find out when they have one.
Our group was greeted and given a tour. Everything went great! We met our representatives, and were able to find information we were looking for.
A grand building at a perfect location. Travel on Capitol Ave and Lok back, it presents a nice view.
It was free and you were free to go almost everywhere. I happened to be there during their lunch break so I did not get to see either congress house in action. There were many exhibits and art works. Quite interesting to spend 1-2 hours.
It was fairly empty the day we went however it was an easy walk through the capitol. Luckily they had a scavenger hunt for the kids. They were enamored with that for most of the walk so they could learn while they played a game. Just remember to bring a pen or pencil with you.
Great place to relax and unwind while looking at great views of the city. Safe area with lots of things to do. The River market is not far, and plenty of hotels to choose from in this area.
We were there to attend the inauguration of Gov. Asa Hutchinson. We were surprised that workers were sanding and painting the inside of the rotunda of the capital on inauguration day.
The scenery was pretty. The bathrooms were HUGE! No joke- there were like 20 foot tall doors for the stalls with their own sinks and whatnot! There was pretty landscaping and an interesting gift store. I enjoyed learning about the architecture..
For my entire life I have visited the Arkansas State Capitol during Christmas. The buildings are so impressive when driving north on Capitol Avenue. This area has changed and there's not much chance of walking around at night because of the neighborhood 's lack of safety. But the view from the car trip is still great.
