Saw a band downstairs, Great venue, really unique, plus friendly helpful staff..Only slight grumble the price of a beer but overall its a shame it won't be there too much longer
Im dismayed to have read that this location is slated for demolition to make way for another shlock modern, mixed use glass and steel design condo of stunning banality. I wanted to write a review while this icon of west hollywood is still standing. This is the best House of Blues in the chain. Admittedly I'm there more for the double swiss mushroom burger and fries than i am for the live entertainment. Its a fun, festive atmosphere. Great times and great memories.
We attended a night early in the week so had an unknown band but they were excellent. Food and service was great. Highly recommend.
House of blues was awesome. Foundation room was beautiful. Vibe was amazing. Went for a charity benefit gig and loved every second of it. Great layout to watch the bands perform.
Have visited a number of House of Blues and this is my favorite. It was mentioned that this one may well be demolished which will be hugely sad and an incon missed from Sunset. Enjoyed the food - especially the St Louise Ribs and my partner enjoyed the Cobb Salad. Band was good and as the night wore on the vibe increased. Good destination - hope it doesn't get knocked down or if it does it's replaced with a newer better HOB.
This is a great place to go for Gospel Brunch. The singing is inspirational and lively. Its a good time to rejoice. The food is good too. Service is excellent.
The House of Blues has good food at reasonable prices. I had the grilled chicken, and it was great. However, the best part is the music. We were there on a Monday night. The band was great, and our waitress went up to sing. She has an excellent voice! The atmosphere here is really laid back, and it really is a fun time.
I went there last year to see a benefit concert for the Cancer Prevention program at St. John's hospital, with P!nk and Friends. I liked that the venue was small and intimate, and the sound was good. The layout was kind of weird in that it didn't flow well. Sometimes felt like an obstacle course to get around. And, it was very crowded which it made it harder. All in all, though, I liked the unique rustic tone and casual atmosphere. Not to mention the concert was awesome.
Went with group for a birthday celebration. I have to admit, I had initial misgivings but it was an outstanding and memorable time. The buffet was varied and excellent and the show had people on their feet. It was a combination of gospel and old Motown music. I highly recommend the event.
We dined at Crossroads and went to see a show at House of Blues, the food was at Crossroads was awesome. House fo Blues - the band had 80s songs and all the crowd was singing. Great vibe, energy, for people who like loud, live music, big crowds.
