We spent a few hours our first day here. I enjoyed the other casinos more than the nugget, but wasn't awful.
My wife and I, along with some Business associates stopped in the hotel bar area Halloween night. After an hour or so we noticed a large man grabbing and pulling a lady to the floor, we were appalled. No one did anything so we went over to find out and Get them apart untill security could get there, well they did and 4 of them proceeded pummel me, Right in front of my wife and associates. I was non combative and kept telling them that the other guy was attacking the girl.... Well come to find out the "guy" is the manager there and had me and my party escorted out. I had the police called so I could make a report and medical called because my arm, face and back hurt like all get out. ... I did get an appolgy from security saying that his men shouldn't have been so ruff and that manager "Ray" has a hot head... So if you want to get rolled and not dice... Great place.... I called the casino several times, left messages and no return call... Oh and I'm out a pair of eyeglasses on top
The casino slots don't pay out. the place is a ghost town with the exception of some Friday or Saturday nights so the tables are miserable. The staff is as friendly as can be considering the enviroment they work in. No one is making money, not even the house.
WOW... Really poor service and rude team members at this West Wendover Casino... My wife and I went to the bar and started playing video poker. I was showing my wife how to play so we were using one machine. The first Bartender came over and served us a couple of white wines. As we continued playing a second Bartender came over and said we couldn't have TWO drinks if we were only playing ONE machine and he continued to give us attitude about it... I am in the hospitality business so I was shocked that this was really happening over a 3oz glass of cheap house wine! So I told him we would of course pay for the second wine and I pulled back the $3 tip and put $5 out for the wine. He asked me, and I quote "did you really just pull back my tip"? I was again shocked and said the $5 was for the second drink! He then went to the second Bartender and told him "did you see what those people did? They pulled back our tip"! I told the Bartender he was a jerk and took a picture to post on-line of the poor service. He immediately called for security and had me and my wife removed from the casino! WOW... Since I have been in the business for over 30 years I gave the security officer my Business Card and asked for the General Manager. They took my card and refused to let me talk to any upper management. This is a poorly managed Hotel/Casino and we walked across the street to "MontegoBay" were the staff was much more Hospitable....! So the moral of the story is, All the West Wendover Casino's are older and dated but don't spend your money in the Hotel/Casino that has poor-rude service and team members! And that is exactly what the NUGGET provides....!
We stopped in just to say we hit all the places while we were in town. After seeing all the places, Montego Bay Casino was definitely a better choice. Just didn't seem to hit much in the Nugget.
Patty melt was not "melted". Service was sketchy. We stayed at the casino and the café was in the casino. I won't be back.
Walked in and was ignored. Tried to find players club but was closed sign said go to gift shop. At gift shop was a teenage male who didn't have a clue what to do or say. Left. Not many people playing at games. needs a complete overhaul including staff.
Its a casino in Wendover. They are tight but if you're going for a night or two out why not. Just bring money to spend lol
I understand that the Red Garter Casino is now a part of the Nugget Casino. I enjoyed eating my $3.99 Breakfast at their remodeled very nice and clean Restaurant. Most places get you on the Coffee, but this one was only half the price of the other eating places that offer specials. A must go.
We stopped in here while we were doing a load of laundry at the nearby gas station. I won 20 bucks here sitting at the bar. I like that this place offers an arcade for the kids and wish more casinos would offer them.
