The southern part of the beach, from Midnight Pass to Beach Drive is the quietest and cleanest. The water is calm so no thrills for boogie boarders.
Crescent Beach is a private beach for the hotels on the beach. We preferred Crescent Beach over Siesta Public Beach due to it being less crowded. You can find beautiful shells, starfish and sea urchins as you walk the beach. The sand is like powder and cool to walk on. This is the best beach I have ever been on.
I visited a friend at Crescent Beach 30 years ago.. Came for a weekend and stayed a week and a half. Loved it then. Joined friends renting a house there for a week and half. Loved it now! I am looking forward to go back again, and not wait that long to return, Truly a magnificent Beach.A wonderful area. Don't miss the Ringling Museum in Sarasota. That's a must. Great restaurantsall prices..
We are not really beach people, but found this one very nice. You could pick up towels from the hotel office along with beach chairs or rent chairs on the beach. Umbrellas were also available for a fee.The sand is incredible and shell collecting was a big draw for many.
lovely beach, although it was cloud and cool during our visit...the beach was clean and the sand wonderful
This beach is a mile south of Siesta Beach with the same white sand. It is very lovely except for 3 things. There is just 1 row of parking. There are no bathroom facilities. The smelly seaweed and debris from the ocean is just left to rot further. You would think that with all the tourists who pour into Siesta Key and with all the taxes collected from this densely populated area, there would be some wise politicians and local residents who would look after these 3 factors that really leave this beach lacking as a potential tourist gem. Or does Siesta Key just want tourists to spend their money and stay away from the beach? Not very welcoming.. Get some toilets for the public, increase the parking and clean up the smelly junk.
We keep coming back because we absolutely love this beach. What's not to love? Gorgeous soft, cool sand and a lovely view.
The number one beach in the world. So much white sand. Though for good shells wander South past point of the rocks. Goodbye sand hello shells!
This beach not only has the finest, whitest sand around, it is also always very clean and family friendly. You still get the occasional trash along the beach, but there are trashcans in quite a few areas to help keep it clean. There are lots of family around everywhere and it is a very relaxed beach. There are also quite a few people that walk up and down the beach.
The sand is as soft as powder, The biggest beach I have ever seen. Great for people watching, Unbelievable sunsets. Everyone needs to see this beach. The only con is parking is a nightmare!!!! I understand a new lot is opening soon, but I doubt it will be enough to handle the amount of visitors.
