Its big, there is parking and toilets and its a quick walk for refreshments. The kids wont get bored easily here which means plenty of relax time for adults
My boys loved this playground, great design. Can see you kids from every angle which is one of my main criteria as they tend to run off in different directions. Great bakery over the road too - Yarra Flats Baking Co. nice coffee too :)
This park and playground is an absolute gem, and a credit to the Yarra Glen Community. It has plenty of adventure equipment for the children to play on, a basketball ring, BBQ's, tables, seating, lots of shady trees and expanses of grass for ball games. It is set in lovely gardens and across the road from a IGA Supermarket, bakery, butcher's shop & cafes. There are new toilets and a new Community Hall. Yarra Glen is a gem of a village and a great place to visit amongst the wineries, and a great chocolaterie. The new Black Saturday Memorial was unveiled this week and is the most beautiful memorial one could envisage.
This park is perfect for little children to have fun whilst they explore the various play equipment. We use it as a stopping point each time we head through the Yarra Valley.
The parkland and adventure playground has great facilities, with plenty of undercover areas (in case it rains), plenty of shade from the hot sun, plenty of bbqs and heaps within the playground itself for all ages. Additionally, there is also space to kick or hit a ball. A great spot in the Yarra Valley.
Great water feature that the kids have great fun diverting and building sand castles with. Excellent play ground with about the only thing that could be added is a zip line. Excellent picnic/bbq amenities and well maintained toilets. Plenty of parking, lovely outlook and not busy. Right on the main strip with supermarket across the road and plenty of food and cafe shops within short walk.
Wonderful range of play things for kids of all ages - including me! :) Of course I was only going on the swing to look after the kids ... honest! :)
Glad to see this playground done up in the last few years, always kids here playing any time of the year no matter the weather, its huge and great for all ages... plenty of area and shade to put a picnic rug out and enjoy a picnic while the kids have a play.
All the school mums met here on the school holidays. It's 2 suburbs across & 20 mins drive but worth it. Love all the bike/scooter paths & that it's so big!
We were on way to Kingslake via Yarra Glen and decided to stop in at the park with our three young daughters. They loved it and gave us a short break to relax before continuing our way. Highly recommended lots of families with kids there.
