Considered one of the symbols of Iasi, which dates back in the time of Vasile Lupu, in 1637, the Church of The Three Hierarchs highlights the complexity of the cultural past of Iasi. The architecture of the Church combines various styles, forms and structures that reunited result in the beautiful and unique stone ‘’lace’’ that covers it entirely. The value of the Church is increased by the fact that it hosts the graves of some of the great historical personalities of Romania : Vasile Lupu, Dimitrie Cantemir and Alexandru Ioan Cuza. The legend that talks about the Church being completely covered in gold in the past, before the Turkish invadors set fire to it in order to melt the gold and steal it, contributes to the charm of this monument.
Nice little which is operating and well renovated,The carvings on the outer wall from top to bottom was impressive.
This is a very beautiful church. I wished I could enter it but it was closed until the next morning. It's location was near the centre of the city. Don't miss it!
Three Hierarchs Church survived after three arson. Its walls inside and outside are sculptured like a real lace, now is restored and cleaned up and so you can admire its unique beauty. Inside you can admire mural fresco and an original chandelier with ostrich egg.
Well from th out side i's not looks good but inside it's an amazing place. I like the Saint coffin ,i guess it's made from gold.Well the 2 -nd thing which disliked me was the beggars, there are a lot.Maybe next time when i'll go there the beggars will dissapear.
They say that this 16th century church used to be coverd in gold in the old times. I don't know what happened to the gold, but still the church is unique in its design, with marvellous patterns carved in stone on the outside. Inside, one can listen to an exquisite male choir. A very nice place to visit.
It was beautiful from the outside, amazingly carved walls and nice garden. Unfortunately it was closed when I visited.
