Great place to snorkel between Malmok and Arashi Beach. All the tours go there. Rocky so, be careful where you step.
We took the four hour sail/snorkel trip with Red Sail and it included a fantastic lunch, great snorkeling, a ship wreck snorkel and an open bar.
As you drive up towards the Calif lighthouse before you come to Arashi Beach you'll notice a jagged coastline with small coves and little beaches in between the rocks. This is THE place to stop and jump in with your snorkel gear and have a look. Just a few feet into the pristine water and you wil be surrounded by fish of all types. Swim up along the rocks or straight out to the reef for some excellent, effortless snorkeling fun. The water is pristine and if you bring some bread or bananas to feed the fish yo will be swarmed by hundreds of them. This is a great spot. You will notice the boats filled with snorkelers anchored off shore. Thats the spot. Dive in man. Its good stuff.
Nice and easy, fairly shallow dive. Second dive of the day. Lots of different coral formations and types. Scorpion fish, turtles, stingrays, eels and Barracuda. Drift dive with about a 3 knot current.
There really isn't a reef here, just bits and pieces of tan coral -- nothing in the way of color. Best snorkeling along the rocks by the shore. Quite a variety of fish, but you can see it all in 15 minutes.
This beach is less crowded than others closer to the high rises. Snorkeling is abundant with mostly smaller fish closer into the shore then of course it gets better further from the shoreline. We did observe that most of the coral is dead, but still a great time, wish we would have seen a turtle! Nice place to relax, listen to the water and look out at the views of the surrounding amazing blue waters.
Great snorkeling! Bring bread or granola, the fish will swarm you. We did the Depalm catamaran twice and it was great both times
What a wonderful place to sit and watch the snorkelers. It was so nice to catch some sun and watch the family snorkel. You can stay as long as you want. When you take the boat trips, it's great but somtime limited.
Great dive location. Saw lots of different fish including file fish, green morays, trunkfish and a couple turtles.
Malmok Reef is gorgeous. I rode horses here and tied off and snorkeled for a couple hours. It was simply fabulous and so relaxing. The water is so clear and the fish are beautiful.
