Sat outside and enjoyed this beautiful hilltop winery. Wines good. Very good appetizers to munch on with the wine.
Yet another winery we found while driving across the region. Their facility isn't as big or fancy as some others, but that doesn't matter when the wine is good. Even though our bartender was busy, he still made time to chat and tell us about the wines we were trying and made us feel welcome.
Super wine- nice friendly atmosphere, beautiful view, good brick over pizza, and the best place to meet up with friends!
We had a lovely time here, but I would recommend the Eugene-area wineries take a tip from others in the northwest (Dundee, Walla Walla, Pasco, eyc) and waive th tasting fee with purchase.
The wine was really good and the view was great. We had a bit of a wait to get served and they had run out of some of the food that we had hoped to order. Overall it was a good experiece and we plan to go back.
Their tasting room seemed to be quite lively and there is a great view to be had. We weren't huge fans of their wine but it was very nice. We would go back.
Off a back road this sweet winery sits on top of a hill. The lovely attendant poured wines past closing as we had arrived late. Compared to neighboring King Estates this wine is exceptional at half the price. Visit but keep it a wonderful secret.
We were en route to the Eugene Airport from the Coast when we noticed signs advertising this small winery. Am I ever glad we made a side trip to check it out!It is a SMALL wintery, but the vines are circa 1980, and when the property changed hands 3 years ago they added a tasting room. We were there at the beginning of their day -- they open at noon, so we were the only parties there. The bartender, who hasn't been there long, was well informed and talkative. They charge $5.00 for a tasting session and I did not attempt to sample all the wines offered. Their offerings are heavier on the whites and roses than in the reds, but we three found the reds superior. The property is absolutely gorgeous. It's worth the side trip just to see the property. We bought our share of wine and it's likely we'll return during our stay here in OR. Go, for the wine and for the scenery.
We took a picnic lunch up to the winery with our daughter and boyfriend. They, as we were, very impressed with the view and the quality of wine. The staff was very friendly and informative about their wines. The view was very nice looking over the valley leading up to the vineyard.
Sarver Winery is the best winery in Lane County, without question. It's not just about the incredible wine, or the indescribable views, it's about the staff, the cozy atmosphere, and the tranquil setting. If ever you need to get away, there is no place like Sarver Winery to make your day better, rain or shine.
