We went to the Chicago Theater to see Amy Schumer on 3/13/15.First off, Amy was so funny it was incredible. She had us in stitches - my wife was laughing so hard she had tears. The jokes were all over the place, and were hit after hit after hit, with only an occasional dud. The opening act was pretty good as well. So, we were worried about sight lines - no worries. We had great seats and our view of the stage was outstanding. The people in the orchestra pit may have got a better view, but we were very happy - we could see and hear her. The audio system was great - several large banks of speakers to make sure that no matter where you were sitting, you could hear her.We skipped the drinks and snacks unfortunately, but they had them - just about anything you could want. We had a great time - the seats were fairly comfortable with reasonable leg room, and it's hard not to appreciate the energy that Amy brings to the room. We had a great time!
Saw the comedian Louis C.K. last night and the staff was their usual friendly selves! Every seat is a winner in this theatre, but we had outstanding seats in the first row of the balcony, center stage. Gorgeous architecture and quality staff make this a must see while in Chicago.
saw John Mellencamp here in Feb 2015. This was my first visit to the iconic Chicago Theater, although I have walked by a million times. Wonderful venue, great acoustics for a concert, friendly staff, must-do experience.
We took the tour. It took a bit more than an hour and was really very informative. My husband, brother-in-law, and I all learned interesting history of a really lovely old theater. If you have an hour or so, go take the tour.

Comfortable seating, beautiful interior and an excellent theater for events and shows. The Chicago Theatre is one of my favorite venues and I've seen shows here many times.
I really enjoyed this theater. We saw a standup show and the view would have been great from anywhere. The whole interior is gorgeous. In the winter dress warm if you will be waiting outside in line to get in (security checking bags for recording devices). Restrooms were plentiful for a venue of this size and drinks were great but pricey. Still well worth it because it was a special night out on the town.
very nice theater with great staff and bathrooms. did not like that they would not let you sit in your seat until 30 min before the show.
Everywhere you look is something interesting to see. Easy to get in, easy to get out. Simply amazing theater that will keep your interest while you wait for your show to start!
