My son's initially puchased a tandem jump for my husband a few years ago for Father's Day. It's now tradition that he and my adult sons always jump on each on of their birthday's. The staff at the Parachute Center are awesome. They make each jump exciting and fun. The photographers are available for an additional cost. Well worth the price especially your first jump.
I watched a friend skydive on his 80th birthday. Fun place -nice folks and I live 1/2 mile from this site so I get to watch everyday!
It took about 20 minutes from when we showed up til we were up in the air, and only $100 per person! The jump was out of this world and the video and pictures were well worth it afterward. I would recommend this place to anyone!
skydiving profressional named "west"and videographer (gotta look up) made this an exciting time and they were hilarious. The video I recieved * minutes after landing was edited with my choice of music and is totally proffessional. Great video to show from suiting up to instruction on plane jomping out descent and landing and touchdown interview. jump # 2198 for West.. reccomend request West and(gotta look up )...{ will edit in name}
this was the last item on our tour of Cali. We did wine country, San Fran, Redwoods, PCH, L.A., 4-wheeling on Pismo Beach, Yosemite and Skydiving. Great people! You pay the owner $100 to jump. You are paired up with a sky dive professional who just loves to SD. He or she is a junkie. Jumps 6-10 times per day. You can opt for the video and pictures. Good for first timers. Tip the people. They don't get paid to jump with you, they just do it for fun.
I did try and I mean really tried! My friends took me to visit the Acampo Para Center which is just 20 mins. drive from where I live. This was their advanced birhtday present to me. They know that I am very very scared of heights but they said I can overcome and conquer this by parachuting (to my death(I always have that in my mind)). They told me that I need to face my fear of heights by falling (to my death) from a small airplane (looks more like a coffin to me). So I was given the lecture on the hows and whats then when they strapped me and I heard the first CLICK of the saftey harness, I just felt my knees start to buckle. I just could not do it!! But the Para Staff were very nice and friendly and they make very good tuna sandwiches:)
Never thought i would jump out of a plane but must say I am glad I did. It was a wonderful, fun experience. The staff is great and make you feel very comfortable. The video and pictures were outstanding. I would highly recommend doing this at least once in your life
Best place to try skydiving or enjoy some great solo jumps. Less expensive them most and super friendly staff lets you enjoy your day
I gave myself the gift of a tandem freefall skydive advendure for my 60th birthday, and I was NOT disappointed! This was an incredible adventure that I highly recommend for anyone with the slightest interest. Cynthia, my experienced back-rider and ripcord puller, and Zac, the cameraman, were great and very professional. I don't know how long we actually fell before Cynthia pulled the ripcord, but it was a blast! What a thrill! I also recommend this place because they are half the price of other skydiving outfits I checked out within a 2-hour drive from the SF Bay Area, but they still delivered an outstanding experience. I opted to get the photo/video package in addition to the jump, and I'm so glad I did. Well done stills and video that I will look back on often to relive this great memory. Thank you, Cynthia and Zak!!
Pros:The staff here are very friendly.There isn't a cheaper place in NorCal for skydiving (I think).The jump is fun and the folks know what they're doing.Cons:Well, I wished there was a bit of ocean to look at too while I jumped.Though Monterey is more expensive, it just might be worth the extra money coz you get to see the pacific ocean when you jump, I guess. However, everything else was awesome in my tandem jump. I'm planning another visit there, this time with my wife... :)
