The chocolate is beautiful and delightful, but not a nice pricetag! quality over quantity, I suppose!. The tour was okay, just a window watching the workers package the chocolate, would pass seeing this again
I loved this place. Disliked absolutely nothing. If you're a choc-o-holic this is a must see place. Please take the time to visit and find out more about the wonderful Haigh's chocolate.
We were asked to bring Haigh's chocolate back to Rockingham WA for relatives .The day was 41 deg when we ventured into Adelaide to find Haigh's no problem the bus stopped opposite but we were worried about the chocolate melting on the way home .The staff placed the chocolate into foil bags to insulate it from the heat good choice .Sample tasting was great .
The free tour is just the right length and full of interest. An educational and entertaining way to spend an hour or so in lovely Adelaide.
Was here in June 2014. Great place to know how Haigh's chocolates are made. No photography allowed but you'll definitely enjoy the tour. A bit technical for kids but worth drooling.
Great place with good pricing and lots of yummy chocolates to buy. Very clean and easy to get to place
I liked looking at the chocolates being made and the great selection of chocolates to buy. There is even a seconds shelf.A great place to take visitors !
The visitors centre is located close to the CBD and a two minute walk from the bus stop if you don't wish to take a tour bus. The staff are very friendly and force feed you chocolate. You are given a history of the company and given more chocolate. The tour consists of watching how the chocolates are made and packed through large windows into the production area. You can't take photographs of the production area although there's always one who tries. It's hard to go out through the shop without making a purchase or two. It is worth visiting the lovely old shop on the corner of King William and Rundle Streets, which was the original shop. The overall appearance is of a family firm who still care for their workers, worth the visit to restore your faith in human kindness. Not the place to go if you don't like chocolate though.
可以预约参观工厂,是免费的,一定要预约,经常会满员。工厂很小,半机械化,从工厂创始人开始讲述一些品牌的历史。品尝巧克力。如果买巧克力产品有10%的折扣。
Booked a (free) tour 2 days in advance during the Xmas while visiting friends. The tour we attended was professional, very entertaining, was able to look behind the scenes, loved it. Finally discovered how the cherry bonbons are made with a liquid centre! :) I had to buy some after the tour... obviously... :) there are a lot of chocolates (available for purchase) to chose from, you will have trouble to decide! We all left the place happy!
