Afton Station is an old Route 66 station right on the old highway. The station itself is a self labeled "old fashioned tourist trap". haa Inside is a small store and collection of Route 66 memorabilia but the real surprise is 2 buildings with some really awesome old cars. You won't spend a lot of time here but it's worth a stop to just write your name on the wall with a Sharpie.
Gentlemen and Ladies - I live in Afton, VA. We are a lovely little community on the side of Afton, Mountain in VA. There is NO AFTON STATION IN Afton, VA - after a little research I found Afton Station - apparently a charming museum on old Rt. 66 in Afton, Oklahoma. Here is the info: Afton StationDirectionsMuseumAddress: 12 SW 1st St, Afton, OK 74331Phone:(918) 257-4044 ..... the nice reviews next to this one are both apparently about the Afton Station at this address in Afton, OK - you might want to delete the one in VA - it is not here. You all need a way to inform you of these errors without writing a public review - note the rating above (which is required) has nothing to do with the location in OKLA - I have never been there.
If you want to see gorgeous packards this is the place to be. Friendly people and the very first rv in the us. Loved it
