It is neat to be in a wave pool even when it is winter. Lots of slides. A good family event. Need to be there early to get a spot.
The place looks run down. It was very dirty when we were there, and the water was pretty cold. The price for entry is outrageous, especially considering that half the slides were closed. Not the tropical paradise it was when I first visited this in 1998. I tried taking my 2 year old son down the slide in the splashpark, which is aimed at children, and the attendant wouldn't let him (wearing his lifejacket) go down on my lap. If I can't take my kid down a slide in the kids section of the waterpark then perhaps you should have kids free and not charge an outrageous amount of money for the entry fee. Concession was lacking options, and again very overpricedNot sure why they don't ban clothing in the pool either. It's disgusting to have people swim in t-shirts, and sweatpants. If you are embarrassed about your body, perhaps do something about it. Last but not least there were people in full burka's (you could see the face though )swimming. Seriously quite offensive.Definitely wouldn't be rushing back to go back here.
I was racing out in edmonton and had a few days after to explore.. This was at the top of my list. And wow what a day it was amazing. We were lucky as the schools went back so it was very quiet, this did mean not all slides were open but still plenty to choose from. It was good to see the lifeguards seem to know what they were doing and a few more mature ones ( they were brilliant) being disabled my ticket was half price and my friend got I. For free as a carer so it turned out to be an extremely cheap day. Couldn't ask for more perfect for everyone
My favorite gateway during winter in Edmonton! Just love it! It's a bit expensive especially on weekends but it worth it during winter!
This is a great place to spend the day with friends or family. If you want to have fun on a cold winter day, this is the place!
We got passes for the water park at our hotel which made it much more reasonable. It was warm, and fun, and we had a great time but I did find the line ups to be a bit much for some of the more popular slides. I was impressed with the quality and price of the food they offered in the park.
Its a huge inside water park with wave water pool, hot tubes, children's water play space and lots of slides from basic to mega advanced hiper dangerous. My family and spent a good day at the water park. A downside is that at one point of the day it was really crowded. If you get tired you can leave the park and go to the mall then came back. I suggest have lunch at the mall as you will have way more options.
We have taken our kids here and they love it! It is very family friendly with a large kids play area and toddler pool that is really warm. There are so many slides its hard to choose where to go first! The tube are fun and the wave pool is awesome!
Sometimes old people need to be kids again and going back to the water park was a way to do it. We had a good time slipping and sliding away the morning. Tips, bring your own inner tub as there are not that many at the park, grab a lawn chair early, as they fill up. Mostly kids here, but always fun for the adults to come out and play
As resident of Edmonton, we have been to the waterpark several times, especially in winter. Fun place to visit. Expensive on weekends and more crowded. Try to get their at opening to get loungers and hit the popular slides before the line up build up, especially during high season. The food is decent there, but you can leave the park to the food court to get more variety. Lockers for rent for $8 and intertubes for rent for the wave pool and certain slides. Certain slides are closed for repair, but enough slides to try out.
