I've been here a few times. I love coming back as much as possible. Seen Nutcracker-Jersey Boys-Concerts. It's a treat to catch a function here. A must GO. *something to remember,"THERE IS MORE THAN ONE RESTROOM."Second ,larger restroom located down a small hallway past the men's restroom. ALL THE WAY DWN.
This venue is good for movies, with the caveat that concession options stink. That said, I would URGE anyone considering attending a music performance here to JUMP at the chance. What a great place for a "Rock Show"!
The interior of the Plaza Theater is elegantly decorated and it is rather small and cozy. The only drawback that I can see is the stage itself is fairly small. If you like to feel up close to the entertainers, then this is a perfect venue for you.
I went there for the Classic Films Festival, place is well maintained and is quite an experience; only thing is seats are small so after a while I got tired and this distracted me from the film.
The Plaza is an amazing theater, and the experience is always top notch, particularly for the Plaza Classic Film Festival. Short introductions before the films and also talks hosted by some of the films stars are simply one-of-a-kind. The pricing is very reasonable, and the venue is not called the "Showcase of the Southwest" for nothing. If you are in town while the Festival is going there is absolutely no excuse not to go!
The history in this building shows as soon as you walk in. Beautiful designs and art on the wall. I just saw the Blue Man Group there and it was fun, exciting and inviting. I will be visiting the theatre again soon. There are so many great shows coming up.
One of the last of the great movie theater palaces, complete with a large balcony, plush maroon seats, a Wurlitzer organ, and fabulous 30s-style lounge restrooms. Spanish style design a la Granada or Sevilla. Hosts the symphony, touring Broadway shows, the classic film festival.
I loved the atmosphere. Its small but beautiful. The seats on the lower level toward the back under the balcony are too far.
Classic theatre has been restored to the grandeur of what it was like when first built. Great venue to see live theatre, concerts and movies.
Nice at night time. We stayed at the hotel, ate at a fabulous little restaurant and shopped at many shops!
