六月来此地感觉真是置身美丽风景之画中,建议可散步在河道傍的公园享受清新的空气和如画的景色或是花很少的钱坐船悠游河道之中,都是非常好的游雅芳河的方式
We spent 3 days in Stratford- upon- Avon and totally fell in love with Shakespeare's birth place. This medieval town was a bustle with tourists like ourselves possibly from the UK itself. However we were from Canada. I love our Stratford in Ontario Canada but this was the 'real' thing. We went on a walking tour accompanied by our personal guide who was chucked full of info on the river (canal) walk that was very intriguing. It was more than brisk with only 5 us numbered in the tour. It was a very personal commentary and so we learned alot and asked questions. Our guide was very personable with a great sense of humor. It got a bit long after 2 hours and we had to excuse ourselves due to the cold. Otherwise we would have continued. Worth doing.
Liked the setting of the canal basin with the boats close to the town centre. some years ago had a boating holiday on this canal.
The canal was immediately at the rear of the hotel and great for brisk fresh air walks after breakfast. It is great to see the narrow boats travelling up and down the canal
Excellent canal walks with beautiful scenery, plenty of locks and a peppering of lovely little pubs to stop for a drink.
Lots of interesting sights associated with this. Including the breakfast barge and the possibility of organising river cruises.
Clean well looked after and restful, lovely to see the ducks and swans and see the park always full of people even on cold rainy days in the winter
We had several long walks along both the canal and the River Avon. Beautiful scenery and lovely little places to sit and watch the swans or ducks. Highly recommended
tranquil and quiet at this time of the year. We enjoyed a peaceful walk after new years eve gig about
Picturesque walkways, lovely boat trip with commentary. Interesting shops/eateries nearby. Been several times to Stratford upon Avon and never tire of the ambience.
