We saw Dawn and Hawkes here this summer and it's a great small venue. The circus was really fun because you can get so close to the performances and performers. Don't miss it next year. Family friendly and great burgers from J. Gillegan's.
The concert I saw was OK, but there really wasn't a good place to sit and the acoustics were not what I expected. The parking wasn't that great either. I'd probably go back, but it would have to be for something I really wanted to see.
Great way to spend some family time, relax, enjoy a good show. Every one should try @ least once. Make sure you bring bug spray though.
Saw Larry Joe Taylor free concert. Great time. Great place to bring Dogs and kids. Great place to have a family outing.
Saw a favorite band there, it was great. They had food vendors out, very family friendly. Allowed outside beer and wine.
Nice to get outside with friends, sandwiches, wine & great entertainment. I do mean great entertainment… "Playing For Change" a compilation of performers from around the world has been my favorite of the 4 evenings I have enjoyed Levitt Pavilions concerts. The venue is located in downtown Arlington. Offering plenty of free parking an a few nice choices of restaurants within walking distance. There is also a choice of a few food trucks on site offering decent snacks, beer & wine. Mad Mike's Ice Cream is a good yummy truck that should not be missed. Make sure to bring a blanket, folding chair and kick your shoes off….sink your toes into the grass & dance!!!
There is always something fun to do at Levitt Pavilion. Mostly, we take advantage of the shows and events for the children during the year-especially summer. However; Levitt also provides great shows for parents when we are lucky enough to get a babysitter. Grab a few lawn chairs and blankets and pack a basket/cooler and enjoy yourself! Or if you arrive early enough you can eat at one of the local restaurants within walking distance. Many people overlook the Pavilion but, its definitely worth checking out.
2013 free concert series was great fun, I'm excited to see what 2014 holds. They also have kid friendly events which I hear is great.
In my opinion, the Levitt is one of the best things that has happened to Arlington in a long time: free, good music, no smoking, available food and drink, ability to bring your own food and drink, nice bathroom facilities across the street at City Hall, friendly folks, etc. The music is varied and lots of it. It starts in the spring and ends when it gets pretty warm...then starts back up in the fall after it cools down some. Several of the shows are tied in to other events: 4th of July festivities, ecology, etc. One can find out about the music through the Internet before you go, thus sampling sounds to make decisions as to attending or not. We love it and have made new friends of some of the attendees. The atmosphere is super laid back, with lawn chairs, blankets, wine, beer, snacks, and a few sweet doggies.
The Levitt Pavillion is in downtown Arlington and offers a nice venue for outdoor concerts. Just bring lawn chairs, a blanket, food or drink and enjoy the concert. I don't know the capacity but it offers a large area for seating. Refreshments are available.
