We just a production of Lend Me a Tenor and thoroughlyenjoyed it. It is a small theatre and the acting is first rate.
Nice, small live theatre venue in Ambler on the main street and close by are some good restaurants. I saw the show, "DIDN'T YOUR FATHER HAVE THIS TALK WITH YOU?" which was quite entertaining.
I have been a member for over 3 years and highly recommend this as the best value in town for an entertaing night out. We see about 6 shows a year and have never been disappointed.
Have had season tickets since they opened. Being small is nice, although they could do with a bigger lobby. Have a diversified selection of entertainment. Parking is a problem due to its popularity.
Extremely small, intimate venue. You can look the actors in the eye (and they you) from any seat in the house. However the acting is top-notch. We've only been there once but plan on getting season tickets because of the wonderful experience.
I have been attending Act II productions for years and have generally had a good time.Since Tony Braithwaite has taken over as artistic director it is better than ever. We are so lucky to have him as an actor in our area.Mr. Braithwaite can do anything, act in comedy musicals or serious drama. He is a brilliant farceur and ad libber, a singer and mover who gives pleasure. His Didn't your Father Have This Talk With You? was endearing, funny, and then so moving. He takes his audiences on journeys with him no matter what he is acting in and it is pure heaven. He is a good director and the plays he chooses to bring to Act II are consistently good. This is a small theater that produces miracles with its postage stamp stage and gives the audiences a good theater experience. Try it. You'll like it.
This is a small intimate theatre and the productions they put on are excellent. Seats are comfortable.
How amazing to be able to walk to a great local theater -- we have really enjoyed their comedy nights here, too. So glad to live in this little town with the most amazing little gems like Act II Playhouse.
Excellent small local playhouse which provides big city entertainment in an intimate comfortable suburban venue. Many good restaurants for pre theater dining or post theater coffee or cocktails and snacks..
I've attended all sorts of productions at the Act II Playhouse: Shakespeare's Tempest, My Fair Lady, their Holiday Specials and most recently, Here's Tony! All have been excellent quality productions and I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed. Worth the money!
