I loved the store and the products. Can't wait to come back and get more! Hope to visit the two other stores soon. We visited the store at Myrtle Beach S. C.
We stumbled upon the Palmetto Moonshine distillery by accident. We had a tour and explanation of how the moonshine is made, and then there was a tasting with four different types of moonshine and also barbeque sauce and four jellies. The staff is welcoming, and there is also jewelry and clothing you can purchase there. A fun afternoon with a unique experience.
Loved the distillery, tasting and shopping! Very informative tour and Meaghan and Brian were very helpful showing us around the store! Very delightful time!
Good shine and great tour. Be sure to taste the preserves and do go to both stores! Quick hint...the shine is less expensive at the store on 76 because they don't have to pay the distillery tax but you can't taste until 2 pm there. The distillery and shop downtown does the tour. Both have wonderful friendly staff.
we had a nice visit to Palmetto Moonshine and enjoyed the tasting. The shop, which was separated from the store, because of SC law, was a nice visit. The moonshine is okay. However, you can buy it for less at liquor stores. But, you can't taste it anywhere but at Palmetto Moonshine. So, go for the tasting and buy a jar just to say thanks.
My parents live in Myrtle Beach & happen to tell us about Palmetto Moonshine because we are big fans of Ol' Smoky Mountain Moonshine being from TN. Very comparable in taste & love the cinnamon the apple pie had...great addition to the shine. I bought the Cherry Apple juice to try with the regular white lightening. Good job on the tour! ~ Dee from TN
Went to tour distillery on Labor Day. Truston was my tour guide and was so knowledgeable about the entire process. I had many questions about the mash and filtering system. He explained it all to me and showed me around the store. I did some tasting and tried some new product. I drive down from Greenville to buy Apple Pie. The historic building downtown has so much character and all the people are so nice. For a top-notch experience and great moonshine I encourage you to go.
We stopped in on a cold rainy day for something to visit. We stayed at a lake house not far away. Very Cool Place! Staff was super friendly and knowledgable. David was super great and explained the products to us. Our curiosity led us to try some samples. It's legal moonshine. But they have different flavors also! Try the Apple Pie version! Yum! Actually even had our kids with us which sounds terrible but it was actually interesting for them since the shop area is really neat to see.
Visiting family in Georgia and we decided to pop over to SC. Stopped in to buy some shine, got a overview of how moonshine is made. We tasted some of their products, bought several jars and a few other souviners ( the warm apple pie moonshine was awesome!) everyone was great, like hanging out with some old friends. Highly recommend stopping buy for the tour and tasting.
This is a fun, adult place, although children are allowed in, with some wonderful, unique, creative gift ideas. It's the place to shop for all the hard to buy people in your life. Note: Moonshine is liquor and shouldn't be bought for anyone under the age of 21. It's fun to go in and search through. I like the sippy cups. The free samples aren't bad either. The employees are knowledgeable about their product and will even offer up "mixing" ideas. All in all it's a fun place to go and you can get your shopping done in 1 place. Win, win in my book!
