Excellent crew, beautiful views and a scenic passage to Victoria B.C. The best gift store with an excellent book section. Enjoy!
Can not fault the Coho in any way, shape or form! It is spotless, pristine, ageless and timely. Their web site works well. Unfortunate that their terminals in both Port Angeles and Victoria, B.C. are in despite need of attention. Besides all that, you can set your watch by their sailings!
Our teen was sick & the staff did everything possible to make sure he was warm and comfortable! Even brought him hot soup!
We found that the Black Ball ferry was a great way to get to Vancouver Island without a lot of hassles. Making reservations online ahead of time saved us the headache of not knowing if there would be enough room to get on the ferry. The ferry is clean and comfortable and the staff friendly. Definitely will take the ferry again the next time we go.
Made this trip to Victoria in July with our motorcycle. A wonderful trip with great views. If you don't have a car, it's an easy walk on and walk off. The dock is in walking distance to down town Victoria.
Taking the black Ball Ferry to Victoria from Port Angeles, is a really nice way to get to BC. Once there you can get around Victoria easily by foot or bus. If you do take your car, it is easy to drive on and off the ferry. The staff is very good at getting the vehicles settled.
Only one ferry trip to Canada and back each day. Unless you spend the night, you only end up with about 5 usable hours in Canada. Would definitely recommend staying at least one night in Canada. Don't take a car on the ferry. Easy to walk around and don't have to worry about finding and paying for parking.
Great transportation system for us between Vancouver Island and Port Angeles. We have good friends living on the island and formerly, we did also. The trip is about an hour and half and views crossing are beautiful. On board, there is literature to read, puzzles on table which bring others around and fun to visit with for the short ride. Food is served on board as well.
It is always fun to travel on the Coho. The crew is the best organized I have ever seen at loading and unloading vehicles in a timely and safe fashion. The upper decks are comfortable and fun during the crossing.
The water passage between Vancouver, BC and Port Angeles works efficiently and offers beautiful scenery - such a relaxing ferry ride. Everything you might need is already on-board and very user friendly. Bring your car. Hop aboard and enjoy the sail.
