This was part of the Holguin by night tour.the place itself was amazing, had 3 local bands/singers all very very good. locals dancing in the isles, would i go again, for sure, even if not part of a trip.
Change some money into Cuban pesos and you can see a great show for pence. There were some excellent performers the night we went - mainly Flamenco-type. Very professional and lovely costumes. Hugely enthusiastic and energetic - then the heavens opened and the whole place emptied and ran for shelter in the square. We love Holguin - another place that isn't too touristy. Always something happening in the Squares. Very cultural lot the Cubans - it's a mistake to underestimate them.
Tijdens een excursie naar Holguin kom je hier terecht. Je komt zowaar in de jaren 50 sfeer. Ze serveren de beste cocktails die we op hebben.
be prepared for very loud music. great to see the locals and the culture and the dancing. It was so busy that there wasn't much room to dance but a very enjoyable experience. take some small change if you wish to use the toilet for the toilet roll.
entre para saber que era, para el precio que tiene no me parece nada especial, claro si quiere decir estuve allí, sudar relajar bailando y demás todo incluido pues bien!!!
We visited this museum in Holguin as part of the "Holguin by Night" tour with Thomas Cook. In the main courtyard, a group of musicians performed an opera for us, based on a local event, which happened in the early 1800s. I'm not into opera, but the singers were superb and the atmosphere of the place really added to the performance. The museum itself is a small affair. In the back, a few artifacts scattered around the rooms, and in the front, a couple of dozen displays of musical items, which would probably make more sense if you know who they relate to. We didn't so was interesting just for interest sake.I wouldn't go out of my way to go there specifically, but if in Holguin, worth a quick look as all the coaches stop on the square it's on.
Cuban music, all type of people. It can get very hot and you make sure you have drinkable water with you. It gets really crowded.
splendido locale con musica e ragazze da sogno!! e prima di entrare si usa andare al piano di sopra alla terrazza per bere un cocktail e fare 2 chiacchiere con le ballerine molto belle!
So here is a little preview. We get to the Guardalavaca just to realize there is no entertainment at all. Like nothing. El Rapido doesnt come close to the entertainment. The only night club in Guardalavaca was shut down for the construction of the new hotel.Great. So everyone whom we asked directed us to Holguin. In particular, to this place. House of Music or Casa de la Musica. So we went. This place is right in the central park. We looked at it, went back to casa particular, showered, get dressed and returned to it around 22:00 hours. Before we walked in we decided to look a little outside, its always nice to find out what kind of crowd hangs around the best night club in the city. The central park was busy. Filled with people. Partying Cubans. Working girls. Few foreigners. All kinds. We went inside. I get to admit, i was shocked. For the best night club in the city the place was small. Like really small. I dont know about capacity but it really surprise me. The cover is 2 CUC per person. It was also empty, almost by 23:00 hours it was empty. We sat for 20 minutes, seen no movement at all and left the club.Instead, let me tell you, instead, we stick around the central park. Much better experience. Crowds of people, music on the street. That was worth it. Not a club.
