Great, beautiful building, formerly a Catholic Church. We were there for the best of Augusta for wine and food, good music and a great crowd. We also go to their Spring Garden preview party which is very well attended and planned in April. Lots of great southern food, music, vendors, garden displays.
We stopped by with the hope of seeing the inside of this incredible building. It was closed for a private event, but the people setting up were nice enough to let us look around for a few minutes. The architecture, and intricacy of the building are breathtaking. The icons are very interesting and the grounds are very well maintained. It was worth the stop.
This building was formerly a church and still retains beautiful architectural features such as intricate brickwork and stained glass. There is no cost and a donation is voluntary.
The perfect place for a wedding! This unique church is booked by brides far from the Augusta area. Although not in the best location in Augusta, this cultural center is very large and has amazing acoustics. A soloist can bring chills to your arms in this place. It's awesome and very memorable.
There are so many brick patterns on the outside laid down by the expert artisens of long ago who built this church. Inside the windows, marble floor, take your breath away. An excellent job of turning this historic church into a cultural center that can host so many events. I just like to stand on the front steps and look at those pretty doors....
This facility has a beautiful Church/ Cultural Center. It also has a very nice courtyard. Just make sure and lock your cars as the homeless shelter is adjacent
Sacred Heart Cultural Center has many types of fancy brickwork and beautiful architecture. The stained glass windows are beautiful. Whenever I have out of town guest, this is the place I always take them.
Sacred Heart Cultural Center is an amazing afternoon of looking at the detail of the achitecture of the building. Not only the amazing brick work, but also the stained glass windows. If you like historic building and architecture, then this is a place to see. Sacred Heart is open to all and can be rented for weddings, events and such. It is a place that is historic to Augusta and worth a view.
i loved it such a beautiful place i wish it were still a church though i would highly recommend a visit from the public
They have lovely classical music performances. There best event is the one they have for Veteran's every year. Get your tickets early because usually it is standing room only. Get to your seats early when you have tickets because it fills up fast. You can also buy beverages and tickets at the door. Parking can be hard so early bird gets the war.
