What an I say other than a really pretty place that is uncrowded. Go for a nice scenic hike. Have a picnic. No bugs! Imagine that!
Absolutely beautiful and full of history... we love Puget Sound, San Juan's, Whidbey and the other Islands... Our son and his family live in Oak Harbor... pretty cool!
I enjoyed hiking and the views were great. I also enjoyed the ocean breezes after a day spent inland. I would go again.
If you need something last minute to do on an evening or weekend afternoon, this is a great stop. There's only a short trail and a tiny section of beach. Little to see, less to do.
This is a beach area - just like many of the others - but small and disappointing after being to Deception Pass and the other parks on the north part of the Island
Joseph Whidbey is a favorite spot for our family. There are two picnic shelters, and several other picnic spots out in the open. Views are amazing!! Sandy beach with driftwood, unlike many Whidbey beaches which can be very rocky. The hiking trails are contained in a small area, but easily go for miles if you want to! Also a nice beach trail. Have fuN!
