It is a great drive up to the look-out, You can see all the vineyards on the hills, Haynes point, twists in the highway, and then You have to come down that long hill .Wee
This is one amazing look out, It's quite a steep hill to get to.. Situated on a hair pin curve. Lots of room for r.v's. From that vantage point, you can see the whole of Osoyoos, and all of Osoyoos Lake, with sweeping views of the south Okanagan valley. You can also see into the United States. Situated on Hgwy. 3 east of Osoyoos.
The anarchist lookout is a worthy destination on a clear day. The spectacular panoramas extend well into the USA and a long way up the valley
Make sure you stop here when headed east out of town. Look back over the Okanagan valley....wow! It's a high climb out of Osoyoos and you can literally see for miles and miles and miles.
...you can see forever! And what a beautiful view it is...the lake and the town...with the Cascades as a backdrop!
It is here: https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Crowsnest+Hwy,+Osoyoos,+BC+V0H+1V0/@49.0110774,-119.405194,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x5482c5f882fb9ebf:0xf587084a3c54600d(if links are not supported then look at coordinates 49.0110774,-119.405194 )It is a typical rest area along the highway. Except it's super small (4-5 cars parking spots) and has insane view of the large portion of the valley.
Worth the drive. Although really the drive is part of the attraction if you ask me. Great view of Osoyoos and the valley. Lots of photo ops!
No matter how many times i visit, I always stop. You get a view of the entire valley; lake, residential and orchards and vineyards.
WOW - spectacular views from both directions, definitely a place to capture photographic memories of the Valley! And FREE of charge
This viewpoint is on the the main road from Osoyoos to Grand Forks. From Osoyoos you can't walk, on a crazy day you might bike, but you really need a car. It's long and steep with a spectacular view over Osoyoos, the lake and the valley to the north.
