Lots of fish and sea life to view in a natural environment. It is easily accessed being close to the Marina. Snorkel hire is readily available.
The waterfall is pretty magnificent, but you can only see it from an overgrown pot-hole filled carpark across the valley. Is worth a 10 minute photo stop if you are already making your way across the island, but I wouldnt recommend making a special trip.
A short ride out of Apia.Several small waterfalls along the river.I suppose it was worth the time, went with a bunch of others and that made it better.
The waterfalls on Upolu are lovely and this one is, as I said...quite spectacular! We were in Samoa at the start of the wet season and our Guide said it's even better once there's been heavy rains. The view to the falls across the valley is stunning and very accessible. We stopped on another day to have a second look!
Ok for a quick stop if driving past but wouldn't make a special trip. The viewing point is actually not the best point to view, you need to go above to the left but be careful, don't fall, no fence here. Plenty of litter though. You can't really get close to the falls but they look nice on a clear day and the pool at the bottom looks lovely but don't see any way down to it.Mist often obscures the view.Have a quick stop if you are going over Cross Island Road and it is not raining.Easy to miss if travelling from Apia as the sign is pointing the other way.
The day I visited it was had been raining earlier... The mist rose majestically from the river below shrouding the falls like a ghostly apparition...Very slowly the mist thinned to reveal the falls and quickly shrouded it again before I could get a good shot !! Bu it was really an eyeopener!! I am happy I visited.
Dropped in to look at these falls which were flowing hard due to recent rain. Took a couple of pics but have seen similar in NZ so wasn't amazed by it. Definitely worth the fee though. Tours here would be better than dropping in yourself, as they also do coconut shows for those.
We stopped at this site when we were travelling around the island...it is set in beautiful gardens and very relaxing time to spend admiring the view. The waterfall is spectacular and it is such wonderful natural wonder. Well worth the 5 Tala per person donation.
nice to look atonly need to stop by for a few minutes as falls are very fair in the distance and dont photograph too well.can be very hazy out there so ask locals/ driver best time for a nice clear view.can be quite brown during heavy rainsstill worth a look
Lush mountains with evergreen surrounds make this waterfall like you see on postcards, great experience one not to be missed.
