Family owned and they have a good goat trick and a pumpkin sling and gun. The corn is fabulousThe corn is only good until the middle of October. Lots of pumpkins and other fruits they import from elsewhere.
Connie and Brian have taken the family dairy land and turned it into a wonderful stop for old and young a like. From the variety of fresh fruits and vegetable in season, to the corn maze and pumpkin patch in the fall, this is a great place for a day trip. Kids can enjoy the hay, maze and petty zoo, while the adults can enjoy an espresso, or hand scooped ice cream cone. Whether you're passing through or making this your destination. it's a must stop.
This would have been a wonderful rest stop......it has ice cream, lots of local produce and fun for kids......except for the underfed animals kept in terrible conditions and filth. I am not a PETA person but still couldn't help but feel like someone should rescue these poor critters. Wont go back to this one again.
Took the god-babies for a Sunday outing. They had a blast. Nice family friendly atmosphere with lots to do. Cute country cut-outs on the buildings. You can pick out your very own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch!
Lots of things to see and do... something for everyone in the family. Good local produce, great little gifts and yummy ice cream. The children love to feed the goats and pigs. The corn maze is awesome in the month of October. Brian and Connie, the owners, are always friendly and welcoming!
We had a great time in October at Foster's. We picked up pumpkins in the U-pick pumpkin patch, went through the corn maze (call or check website for fee) where they have a game to play, drank hot mochas and munched on pumpkin pie slices (FYI try their pumpkin hand dipped ice cream!). The kids had a great time at the animal farm and hay maze. I picked up some kale, dried corn stalks and gourds to decorate our porch and also bought some apple butter and pickled okra (tons of gourmet jarred food to choose from...next time I will get the pecan syrup for morning waffles and I also forgot to pick up a jar of butter pickles...num!). Bring your boots and a garbage bag for the pumpkins since it can get pretty mucky in October---REMEMBER YOU ARE ON A FARM AND HAVE FUN NO MATTER THE WEATHER....just be prepared! That's half the battle with kids! Check out at www.fosterscornmaze.comWe were also here in summer for berries and mocha shakes.....check out the annuals and perennials for sale.....I got a bunch of colorful dragon snaps and a hanging basket for the front porch!Fosters is also a member of the Red Rooster Rouate (www.redroosterroute.com)
Every October, this is the place to go for pumpkins! Very nice selection of pumpkins, squash, and other decorative vegetables of the season. Also, nice produce other times of the year. Very friendly service.
We stopped there in October on our way to Darrington for my birthday. The place was full of home-made goodies (jams, pies, etc) and decorated to the hilt with a true sense of a country autumn. We can't wait to see what they have in store for other seasons - it's adorable.I'm a true animal lover, and disagree with what another reviewer said. I found the farm critters in good, clean housing and well-fed. Trust me, I would have put up a major fuss if they weren't !!
This is a fun little place to take children to "a farm". You can also buy farm produce and berries and pumpkins when in season.
THE GOATS... YOU get to feed them... (: and the people are really nice.
