This lake is 21 miles long with enough coves and bays it makes you feel like you are the only one on the lake!
I loved it all. Can't think of anything I really disliked. A few mosquitoes, but then, you expect that in the Minnesota backcountry!
Beautiful, uncrowded. Lot's of islands and rugged shoreline to camp, fish, swim. View eagles, deer, bears
Stunning! Lots of space and small islands to explore. Its root beer water but its clean and lovely to swim in! Watch out for the rocks, theres alot but if you pay attention they wont get in your way.
We cruised from Timber Bay in a pontoon boat and saw Bald Eagles, loons, and other wild life. The lake is calm and quit even though some are water skiing. Take the boat out late at night and check out the zillion stars! Fishing was almost none existent and the only 4 Northern we caught in 7 days were all in the 24" - 36" protected range and had to be released.
