Parking structure nearby that charges $12 to park during events but be sure to bring cash. If you're like us and you forgot the cash, there is a 7-11 nearby (but they will charge a fee to get $ out). It's a short walk to the Hall once you're parked. The sell snacks and drinks but I would suggest you take in some of the nice restaurants nearby ('Little Italy' is not very far). The layout is nice and staff are very friendly. We sat in row CC and had a very nice view.
Go to the BSO any time you are free! This is a top notch orchestra which everyone loves. This is the only metro symphony that has an accomplished world renowned conductor. The talent of every instrumentalist is amazing, creativity abounds, and the hall is comfortable. Parking is easily available, too. There are usually last minute tickets available at a huge discount, known as "Rush" tickets. Go!
We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful concert hall and superb orchestra in Baltimore. Our music director, Marin Alsop is doing an outstanding job of creating unforgettable evenings, mixing the 'old' with the 'new' and bringing the orchestra into the community with her outreach programs. We are so proud!
I recently had the pleasure to take in Beethoven's 9th here. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the sound quality was amazing. We did not have very expensive seats, but the view was excellent also. Champagne was $7 a glass, which I thought was very reasonable. My 2nd performance here, and definitely not my last.
I actually went to this venue to see a comedy show and was able to get premium seating, but even if you don't there is not a bad seat in the house because of house it is designed. The sound quality in there rivals any place I've ever been. If you have a chance to visit there, by all means do so!
A world class symphony with a very creative conductor. There are usually tickets available the night of a performance, too.One of my favorite concert venues. Lots of variety, too. Not just classical.
The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is the home for the BSO. The architecturally interesting building has good acoustics and the seating is comfortable. Also check out the BSO's Pop Series for a lighter fare.
World class music in Baltimore! I have never been to a bad concert! I have taken students to the educational mid-week concerts which were excellent! The adult concerts are varied in genres and the quality of musicianship and the quality of the concert hall is top notch! (Better than some NYC concert halls I've been to!) Well done Baltimore!!
I am a regular concert goer and have been for many years. This is one of the best concert halls in the world in my opinion. Excellent acoustics. Comfortable seats. Reasonable prices. A great local orchestra (BSO). An excellent conductor.
Nice theater with reasonably priced parking close by. Always something scheduled--usually first-rate music or theater.
