Really fun castle to visit. Try to get a copy of Rick Steve's for a good tour. The views were magnificent, and the little museum is nice too. It's quite an easy walk from the train station (looks much harder than it is).
I honestly don't know what to say other than this is well worth a stop. There are wonderful views of the Rhine River from the castle. The rooms are interesting, particularly the bedroom of the princess where a dress is laying over a chair; apparently teens in the 19th century didn't hang their clothes up either.
A little off the main road - Surprisingly, we were among only a few visitors at the Castle. We'll worth the journey and quite an interesting spot to visit. Buy the 3 euro guide for some great tales from the Middle Ages! Be careful for the headless knight.
Remarquable. Le château comporte également un hôtel somptueux.
We just did a self-guided tour - Unfortunately the weather was a little chilly so we cut it short; We did enjoy a drink in the restaurant, with a gorgeous view!
I've never been to a castle until here and it was great to see. We hiked to the castle which was quite a hike (good), but as we made it to the top we realized there was a train-bus that could take you there. I'm not sure if they had tours but we went through it alone. I'm sure it would have been amazing had we had a tour.
We visited Burg Reichenstein on a Rhine River boat trip. It made for a lovely half day of boating through gorgeous valley and vineyard scenery and castle exploring. The castle is not huge, but it is well maintained and there are lots of cool old things to see as you wander about the interior and grounds. The massive collection of antler trophies is really unique. Great views of the Rhine from the turrets on top. There is also a small hotel in a side building, but we did not check it out. Also fun walking around the nearby small town while waiting for the return boat.
