This was the last of the three St. Louis tours offered by Glide St. Louis. My friends and I have enjoyed everyone of the tours. We loved them all but the Forest Park one topped them all. They were all very informative and exciting but downtown was too busy for me. I was nervous about the traffic. If they were to open more tours we would be the first ones in line. It doesn't require a lot of athletic ablity but you do have to be able to stand for quiet a while and make sure to wear tennis shoes with good support. Bring a camera they will take pictures for you.
Joe and Hannah really took care of us and made sure us first timers were trained and ready to ride. Awesome tour of downtown. We saw things we would have missed on foot. We will definitely do it again when we are back in town! SO MUCH FUN!!!
So glad we found this business on the city Travel app! We were debating how to see all of the sites near downtown in a time efficient way prior to the McCartney concert. This was THE PERFECT SOLUTION! Max did a great job, kept us safe, and NEVER made us feel rushed. The stop near the federal courthouse where we could ride the Segways in the small border park was a perfect "play break" to take in the fun of the Segway! Lastly, they price this tour perfectly. DON'T CHANGE IT! It's right at that price break where you say, "How could we NOT do this?" The only exception I would make is that you might want to add a small discount for a large (5+) group to encourage families. Overall, a great way to spend your time on, "a three hour tour...a three hour tour...."
We took a city tour from Glide Segway Tours and highly recommend this tour. Loved it. Appreciated the knowledge of Bill & Max on details of the city. Absolutely wonderful - felt safe & well trained. 2 super guys. I'm a klutz - I'm not athletic - and I had no problem with the Segway with doing my first Segway trip on a city street. We had a group 10 and the people running the tour were great at explaining what to do, and they were patient with us all. We took the St. Louis City Tour to the Arch and across the bridge into Illinois. Your confidence and skill improves as the tour progresses. It is a fun way to explore the city. The guides will take pictures of us and the group with your camera. This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. I am adding these Segway Tours to every city I visit. Lots of fun, do try this!
Me and two friends went on a tour of downtown St Louis with Glide St Louis on thursday May 24th. The guides were Bill and Hannah, both great persons with a lot of knowledge of the city en very eager to share this knowledge. They will show youneveruthing from the FBI office, old and new post office, Gateway Arch, Busch Stadium and the old courthouse (and that's but a few things you will hear a story about).Riding the Segway is very easy and lots of fun in itself. It is a excellent way to cover a lot of the city in a short span of time (we saw really a lot in in the duration of three hours). I would recommend this tour to anyone who visits St Louis and be sure to have it on the first day of your visit, you will get the most out if is, because you get the lay of the land and an overview of the highlights, later on you can zoom into the spots you want on your own conveniance. Thanks Bill and Hannah, for the great time we had with you. Highest recommendation!!!! Joe, give them both a raise!!!
We did the downtown St Louis tour with our foreign exchange student (and Chile beat Spain in the World Cup) so it was a great day. Apparently, it is Missouri state law that you have to be 16 or older to drive a Segway on streets. They do offer a riverside ride for younger teens. Tom and Bill were very thorough with safety and training. Lots of great history up and down Market street.
Our Segway tour of Forest Park was tons of fun! Our guides, Jeff and Hannah, were fun, patient, helpful and knowledgeable! The Segway machines were easy to operate and so much fun! I would highly recommend a Segway tour to anyone. My husband predicts that we will be taking a Segway tour in every new city we visit from now on. We're hooked!
We've lived in St. Louis for over 25 years but learned a number of new things about our city on this Segway tour. Our out of town guests were very favorably impressed with St. Louis as well. Bill and Joe, our tour guides, did a fantastic job of guiding us around the city, from our start at Market and Jefferson over the Eads bridge and a number of stops in between. These machines are brilliantly intuitive, requiring only minutes to learn how to operate. I would heartily recommend Glide St. Louis for families or friends. Try it and check another item off of your bucket list.
We took the tour of Forest Park. The guides were very knowledgeable about the park and the history. The training on the Segway was great. They made sure everyone was comfortable before leaving. We went through so many different parts of the park, seeing the museums as well as "off roadding"it on some of the gravel trails. My 16 year old was very happy with the mixture of history and just riding the Segway!
Why we all don't cruise around on Segways is beyond me. Environmentally friendly, easy to maneuver, and a heck of a lot faster than walking. I've done the downtown St Louis Segway tour twice now - because it's a great way to 1. learn a lot about the City and 2. spend a fun day with an out of town visitor. Don't be intimidated about 'learning how to ride'. You literally stand on it and lean forward and they give you plenty of time to learn your nerd. The guides are fun, energetic, and knowledgeable. Trust me, you should book it.
