We have been living in Corfu for the last 8 months. Barbati is by far the nicest rock beach on the island. My kids can spend hours looking for beautiful rocks and running up and down the beach. The swimming is wonderful. Crystal clear water. It gets deep quickly, but no waves or undertow that we have experienced. Great place to spend time. The only place we have ever seen dolphins too!
It is a pebble beach so water shoes advised but the sea is lovely. Sun beds are good value and drinks are served straight to your lounger if you pick the more expensive beds. The beach side tavernas are busy but the food good and service friendly. The Barbati Ski Club do safe, fun water sports and at a competitive rate. All in all a good day out.
we love barbati beach & even though we stay in Moraitika we go to Barbati to hire a boat from Spiros & his son George on every visit. It is a stoney beach so the water is so clear. There is a taverna on the beach for refreshments.
The clear blue waters are breathtaking and the pebbled beach is immaculate. Great little bars and teverna's serve the area at very reasonable prices even for a parasol and 2 sunbeds at 6 euros per day. After the initial 5 meters of pebbles whilst entering the sea you will soon be stood on golden soft sand.It is advisable forchildren to where shoes when going in or out of the sea.For the more adventurous you can water ski / paraglide or just rent a small bout to coast around the area into the peacful little covesa and secluded beaches only accecable by sea.Definately worth a day out
Keep going back to Corfu and this beach is a must. It's beautiful with the option to sit on sun loungers or go down the quiet end of the beach. Used the water sports centre twice this time which is excellently priced!
Barbati beach is absolutely beautiful, the water is pure and blue, it felt like the bahamas or the seychelles.. really worth a day trip. There quite a few bees flying around though, so make sure not to eat/drink anything sweet unless you really enjoy their company! They don't usually bother you so considering how beautiful it is there, it would definitely be worth going!
The small village of Barbati is sweet, everyone is so friendly and the food is really good. When you first drive into the village it doesn't really look like much but such a gentle pace of life, lovely place to go to for a relaxing coffee or lunch.
Beautiful sea with the clean and warm water. Not crowded. Pebbles, but it is not a problem if you prefer the clean water.
The three words of the title reflect the pleasure of the experience, which contains also the rare pleasure of the ever-changing rythms of the seawater's streams, whose temperature is altering ever-so-slightly. The beach's popularity attests to these truths!
It is a must! If you have the chance to visit Barbati beach, you'll see that it is as beautiful as Plaiokastrista! Very quiet place, clean water, not so cold as they say, amazing!
