They have a good concept which is a flight of wines paired with chocolates and cheese, BUT the wine is not good. I did not like any of the wine I tasted. Honestly I am not hard to please with wine. The wine was terrible and the chocolate and cheese not so good either. Not sure they know how to do a wine or pair food with wine. The dog was cute. But the service was not so much. There was a woman a short blonde girl that did not smile and was just barking orders at the staff. And also not so nice to deal with.... I won't be back . The fee is not so bad except the wine and food is terrible
This winery (along w/Round Barn) are OUR faves in the area and well worth the visit! This one is very modern, eclectic. The name (and sign to go with it) says it all! It's been open about 3 years, one large square building on a small pond. The trees were in full color for autumn so a great backdrop. You pick our 4 wines for $10, and get a pairing of either cheese/chocolate (they have it all decided for you) and it's served on a nice tray. The girls there work very hard/quick esp. w/crowds at the bar. Someone greeted us and held door open - a FIRST at a winery. There's 2 sides of building to sit outside on. We chose the less sunny side by pond - great view. Owner's dog who a wine is named after was milling around, very docile and sweet. The wines were delicious - one called Vacation. They are different and fun! TRY IT!
Even though we weren't really a fan of any of the wines they served, they certainly have a better way of presenting their product by pairing with cheese or chocolates. The servers were all very friendly and helpful. We visited on a Friday afternoon and it was very quiet, we had the deck to ourselves and enjoyed taking in the amazing view.
Gravity doesn't have the best wine. We spent the afternoon touring south west Michigan's wineries. Gravity looked great. Had a great deck with a pretty view, but the wine was almost tasteless compared to everywhere else we went. For a group it's a great place to stop, but if you're out to restock your wine cellar skip it.
Four of us visited on Saturday, February 28 in the early afternoon. We were greeted by a very nice young man who led us to the tasting bar and a young woman who explained the $10 flights with four wines and pairings. The tastes are probably about an ounce, and the pairings are small chocolates, cheese or crackers. One selection per wine. My husband selected three dry reds and ended up with crackers, and she exchanged two for chocolates. I selected four whites and got two cheese and two chocolates. The wines were not to our liking--we typically find one or two we like and usually purchase at least one. We didn't take any with us, nor did the couple we traveled with. The facility is very modern looking. Lots of aluminum on the walls, tables and chairs. Looks like they have a nice deck for warm weather visitors.
We visited this winery in May 2014 along with a few other local wineries that same week. This one was interesting. The setting is very pretty and the outdoor deck area was enticing. The interior of the winery store is different than most. The interior is sleek but also somewhat sterile, and the loud heavy metal music that was playing during our visit on a sunny afternoon was jarring. The system that was used for wine tasting was also too programmed. The wine was good, and we bought a few bottles to take home, but the overall experience created some dissonance and was not very inviting or comfortable.
Interesting winery, in the way they set up their tasting. They had great deals when you bought multiple bottles...so we bought more than a few. We will be back!!
I like how they pair the wines you choose with cheeses and chocolates. You get 4 pours, big they are half a glass. I bought the milk chocolate toffee candy. It's kind of loud inside. They have a big outdoor patio ,over looking beautiful grounds, but it was cold & raining.
Servers were very friendly and had the answers to all of our questions. Wine was great! Also has great scenery of a small lake.
Stopping by Gravity we were greeted by their official greater - Oliver the dog. A wonderful big brown dog who loves people. We tried four of their selections, we shared, and really liked two of them and passed on the others. Which is why you do tastings. The location is beautiful and the staff friendly. Certainly one of the local wineries to hit in Berrien County.
