This was a very interesting tour! Our guide was very informative. It takes about 2 hours and they only take a small group of about 12 at a time. While you are there, be sure to visit the Copper Bar for food and/or drinks!
This is a very interesting old building. They have made great use of the whole building. There's a restaurant and bar on an upper level. Nice displays downstairs and the building is very well maintained. A good example of a Frank Lloyd Wright building.
It's not a huge museum, but the Arts Center always hosts interesting exhibits -- well worth a visit.
Loved the building and the decor. Gallery is airy and laid out artfully. Great gift shop with lots of Frank Lloyd Wright books and designed items including clothing, home decor, and gift items.
Drove for about and hour outside of Tulsa to see Frank Lloyd Wright's only skyscraper. Odd little building in the middle of nowhere that has the tiniest little luxury apartments in the world I believe. Its truly a step back in time. I completely enjoyed every second touring the building.
We always stay at the Inn and we just love to walk through the art gallery and we recommend taking the tour also!
Went to Price Tower after an event at the Bartlesville Community Center. Wright's only skyscraper built with the furniture built and installed at the time of construction. Iconic building worth the visit for anyone interested in architecture. An elevator ride to the Copper Bar for a drink provides a great view.
The building is a fantastic "miniature" of Frank Lloyd Wrights only designed skyscraper. Built at about one third it's intended size it is still fantastic. The angles and thought process of how the structure is even engineered is marvelous. Don't miss this stop if you have any interest in architecture at all. The revolving art displays are a nice addition.
I have always loved FLW's work. He is brilliant. And living an hour and a half from the Price Tower I have always been in love with it. I finally was able to take the tour and it is simply stunning. Once you find out the history about the building and the design behind it, you will be forever in awe of this tower. To finally realize the nature in/modern out aspect and to fully realize all the details that went into this building is a very humbling experience. This is a must stop if you can!
This building is Frank Lloyd Wright's only recognized skyscraper. The art center isn't large but quite interesting. There are many nice exhibits on display quite often. It is within walking distance of Bartlesville Community Center, which is recognized as one of the finest performing arts halls in the country. The modern architectural design was the vision of William Wesley Peters, apprentice and protege of Frank Lloyd Wright. Try to visit during OK Mozart Festival which is held in June every year and stay at the hotel. Be sure to ride the elevator up to the Copper Bar and catch a breath-taking sunset over the Oklahoma Prairie.
