Tiny winding streets, Great food, coffee, wine bars and fashion. Try a glass of wine at El Soplo and check out the designs at Brain&Beast.
The El Born area is part of the La Ribera district in Barcelona. It s located on the old city and is renowned for its bustling nightlife, restaurants, bars and trendy shops. With old, gothic style architecture, numerous museums & fantastic churches, this is a definite must visit part of Barcelona. Highly recommended!
just a great area to wander through & discover the large & small delights museums, parks & restaurants.
we went at night to mosquito restaurant-get there early, we got there around 7pm and were really lucky to get a table, over ordered but ate it all and some and what a great selection of beers! lovely area of trendy bars and shops
loved everything about this area, stunning old architecture, lots to see and do, the atmosphere is amazing and the prices are local prices not tourist, it was the only area we relaxed and chilled out on a night. Don't be afraid to join the locals in little cafe bars and pavement gazebos but if you are on a budget avoid the gazebos with fires in them for food as they tend to be alot dearer but fine for drinks. there is alot less english speakers but sign language and pointing to pictures gets you there eventually. lol.x
Stayed here with my wife for 6 nights for her birthday. The Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, offering assistance with everything from where to go and help with the free WIFI which is a plus. There is a small lap pool on the roof should you decide to stay in on a sunny day. Breakfast was not included with my booking but was offered at a discount which we took advantage of. Breakfast itself was a pleasant surprise as it catered to almost everyone's taste, whether you liked Continental or Full Breakfast, there was both a multitude of hot and cold selections, well worth the cost. The room was a nice size and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had both a combination tub/shower as well as a stand-alone shower which was very convenient. The water in the shower was hot instantly and stayed hot. The hotel location was perfect and within walking distance to just about anything you may want to do. Admittedly there will be some walking involved, but worth it. The El Born district itself has some hidden treasures that I would advise you to scout out on your own shortly after you get there, we didn't do it until our last night and would have taken advantage of spending a little more time here if we had looked first. When we come back to Spain, this hotel will be our choice again. One word of warning, Taxi drivers may take advantage of you unless you get an estimate from them first.
Stayed at KK Picasso next to the "old market" of El Born, which is a must see. Loved the area with its tapa bars and neat little specialty stores. You stroll around the area, close to so many different cultural things like churches, museums and a wonderful park.
El Born is a lovely gem of a neighborhood. So many bars and restaurants. You could spend weeks here and never see it all. The small streets and alley ways are so quaint. You never know what you will find around the corner.
What a unique area to walk and shop around. Winding, narrow streets with many interesting stores and restaurants. A great place to spend some time.
A nice área to explore, good selection of quirky boutiquey shops and we discovered a lovely park nearby to escape the city. Good restaurant área too.
