I really enjoyed the visit to this museum which contains many of his personal memorabilia which relates to his life and that of the history of Bayamo and the struggle foe independence .The staff were friendly and helpful.
Van a disfrutar muchisimo
A must if you want to learn about the history, the only bad thing is we had to wait one day, because the place does not open on Mondays.
We spent a hour or so walking around the artifacts, and enjoying the exhibits. There is a 1 CUC charge per person and a 5 CUC if you want to take photos. We usually sack the camera unless we see something that we really want to take a picture of. We gave the girl at the desk a 5CUC note to cover the 2 CUC admission fee and she didn't have change. We walked around the museum for about a half hour before she showed up and gave us our change, she had to go to the bank to get it. We have had problems with a 20 CUC at a museum before but never for a 5. Other than that it was well worth the time we spent, there are a lot of interesting period artifacts and it gives you a good sense of the history of that time.
Beautiful historical home in the center of historical Bayamo. Located facing Parque Cespedes. The attendants were very helpful.
Great for history buffs. Interesting artifacts from the era. It gave one an insight into life in that era. The guide was very knowledgeable. I liked the sculptures too along the verandah/ courtyard. At the entrance to the museo there is an opportunity to purchase local street art etc. as it's located in a plaza. In Cuba plazas are always gathering places for locals and tourists like so this is an added bonus.
