Stopped by Vieni on the afternoon of March 2nd for a tasting with four friends. We were welcomed by a young girl, her name may have been Victoria??? But we had a blast!!! She was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine. She listened to what we liked and gave great recommendations based upon them. Beautiful place, we had a great time!
We were participating in the Icewine Festival this past weekend and Vieni was listed on the brochure. We were intrigued by the name Vieni (which means "come" in Italian) so we decided to visit. We walked into a small and friendly atmosphere. The servers were friendly and informative. We got a history of the winery, the Italian wine maker and info on the B & B. The tasting list had complete descriptions on all of the wines and the ones we tried were excellent. We particularly liked the semi dry Riesling and the Sparkling wine. Left with a number of bottles and vowed to be back again many times. We will be back again, with pleasure.
Only come here if you want to have a good time. The tour is concise and informative.Staff seems to always smile. We stayed in the B&B and had a rather great time. There sparkling whites are said to be made on-site but I personally believe they are handcrafted by Jesus. They are heavenly good.
One of the stops along the way on a Niagara Fun Tours wine, spirits and cider tour. The tour of the site was informative, the staff were friendly and answered all our questions, and the wines were excellent. This winery is one of three that we will plan to exclusively buy from in the future!
Mauro took us on a fun and informative tour of the winery. We sampled a wide assortment of great wines that were all reasonably priced. There is also a beautiful bed and breakfast overlooking the vineyard that you can rent by the night. Well worth the visit.
We had a family function on September 14, 2014, which our group had a private tour by Steve of the estate, followed with a beautiful set up at the main house, which was our private party. The food was magnificent and every wine bottle was explained by staff with each of our meal. Tastefully done. I would love to have my private party gathering family and friends at this retreat. My favourite was the icewine. Which we all bought our wines before leaving.
We held my daughters engagement on September 14, 2014 at this beautiful estate. Which started at noon, followed by a tour of the winery with full explanation of every wine they make by Steven. Plenty of sampling, my husband fell in love with the sparkling wine!Brunch was served at 1:00pm, antipasto bar to get us started. Main dish served Trattoria style one platter for every 4 people. Each course followed with a pairing wine. Cosmo the chef made sure that everything was cooked to perfection. Silvana our host and her staff made this special day one we truly won't forget. Perfect place to relax, eat great food and enjoy wine with family and friends.
We stayed overnight for the Valentine's experience at Vieni's BnB and we had a fantastic time.We were greeted with open arms and genuine hospitality for the entire stay.We started with some sampling in the lounge. Ask for the sparking ice wine, you won’t be able to put it down. The wine tour followed which was interesting, informative and sparked some great conversation among the guests. The dinner package included a three course Italian meal which really translates to about ten courses. The menu was left up to Comso’s (the Chef’s) discretion and we were definitely not disappointed. Each of the servings had its own wine pairing making the savory experience much more. We were fortunate enough to try three of the reserve wines during the pairings, each were remarkable, had their own character and complimented the Chef's selection perfectly.Of course, there was the chocolate and wine pairing presentation which really topped the evening. Will definitely be back but we wont wait for Valentines.
Vieni Estates Winery was the first Winery we visited on a wine Tour organized by Wine Tours Toronto. It is a charming location in Beamsville and we had a very warm welcome from delightful and knowledgeable staff, and a glass of their extra dry sparkling wine, Forza Azzurra, before a most interesting conducted tour with Steven, of their most up to date equipment imported from Italy. We sampled a few other lovely wines and with their delicious Pasta we paired it with their Aglianuco Al Passo. Needless to say we bought a few bottles of wine including their Sparkling Cabernet Icewine. This was a highlight of our trip and we plan to return and perhaps take advantage of their B & B facilities.
From the moment we stepped onto Vieni soil, we were greeted with open Italian arms. Lunch was "delicioso", and the tour was comically informative. Not only did they pour us their finest wine and spirits, they also happily made our pockets lighter. Cheers to hometown Italian hospitality..... And gaspa!
