Had a wonderful time on the 2 hour trail. Polite staff. Great well kept horses. We had a group of 7 people with 2 guides. So much fun and the property provides amazing scenery, 270 acres. I would recommend this and planning on a return visit sometime soon!

When we first arrived, the place literally looked like an old west ghost town...definitely part of its charm. The kids ran around the property, played on the old merry-go-round, and peeked in the saloon and jail house, (deserted mock buildings), that were used more as storage or actual stables. We hung around waiting for someone to greet us for our 3:00 trail ride, other than the two old, friendly German shepards, and shortly after 3:00 a group arrived off the trails and we discovered the office to pay and fill out paperwork.I feel the need to describe all this, because first impression was a bit "ghostly"! However, the staff was friendly, the horses were well cared for, and the trail through the woods was absolutely beautiful and peaceful! Well worth the price: $25/person for an hour long trail ride. Felt like a bit of the Wild West had met the north woods!We had two 7 year olds and one 10 year old with us, all first timers to ride alone on a trail. Our guide, Jessie was at the back and followed behind the two youngest. She was great with them! Explained what to do to get the horse to keep moving (and stop eating...haha), and told them all about their horses and answered all of their questions to the best of her ability! Our lead guide was a hoot, and I know my husband enjoyed his "stories", too. We would definitely do it again! My brother's family has also gone there in the winter for the sleigh ride and said it was just as fabulous!
