  We went to the museum to use the genealogy resources. What we found was a very nice museum on Gage County, but no access to the genealogy resources. A volunteer who could answer no questions, and wasn't even sure about the museum hours, was friendly enough, but it was a bit like talking to a brick wall. We were told absolutely no genealogy questions on Sunday. We did a quick tour of the small museum, and it was informative. I suspect if you can go on a weekday when the regular staff is there that you might find a great deal of information. Just don't go on a Sunday.

  The museum is informative and interesting. But the ladies in the office are dynamite! I was there doing family research from the early 1900's and they were so very helpful! And each step of the way they were so excited... they know their stuff and the history of their community! Great fun!

  The staff is extremely helpful and the displays are well organized. I was doing some family research and this facility was a treasure. A bonus was the fascinating gift shop...one of a kind. If you want to know ANYTHING about Gage county, this can be your one and only stop.
