So pleased you enjoyed your day with us and your review has proved that we are doing what we aim to provide in "good value for money golf".We hope to see you again soon.
Thank you for your review. We admit having trouble with losing a member of our green staff team during the early part of the summer but I'm sure if you visit again soon you will notice a big change in the course presentation now we have a full team at work again.
I'm really pleased you are enjoying our facilities James. If you are keen to get your grand children playing why not contact our golf coach on 07979 500199 as she is about to set up some junior coaching here at the club.
I have played the course hundreds of times without ever getting bored with it. The view from the third tee offers a splendid panorama. The holes are an interesting and fair test of a club golfer's skills. The par 5 12th, where there is water on three sides of the green, is a fantastic hole, the most challenging on the course. I would strongly recommend Colmworth to golfers. The club is friendly and welcoming with none of the snobbery that has sometimes blighted golf clubs.
Enjoyed a great days golf and a nice welcoming beer after. Good hospitality. Club house clean and tidy and well maintained. Golf coarse well looked after and always in great condition even in the worst conditions.
Earlier this month I attended a business lunch at Colmworth Golf Club. The food and service was simply...excellent.I often attend business networking events here and the breakfast served is also very good. For me though, above all else, is the friendliness of the place. Julie and her team are always very welcoming and if you ever had stereotypical ideas ideas of what golf clubs were like, as I did, then this place will quickly put that right! If golf and good food is not your thing then don't forget you can also go fishing here and there are holiday cottages for hire too...Highly recommend.
I go to Colmworth about once a month - but I don't play golf. I don't fish either, or stay in their lakeside cottages. I do attend meetings, sometimes for breakfast and sometimes during the day. There is always homemade cake available - can't resist. And since they refurbished the bar area into The Coffee Pot and do soup & paninis & cofffee & cake, it's a lovely spot. However, today was a business group Christmas lunch - and it was lovely! The upstairs is a great space - different areas open to each other or closed off, all spacious but still warm. We had a choice of menu & I can't recall it all but I do know that I had game terrine with caramelised onoins & toast, then plaice parcels (perfectly cooked) on a bed of spinach with hollandaise sauce served family-style perfect roast potatoes & seasonal veggies (parsnips, carrots & red cabbage). Dessert homemade creme brulee. No shop bought pass-offs here.If you have a need for a small function room for a party or a dinner or a lunch, you would go far to do better.
It is such a shame that so many people feel this way about golf clubs and it has such a stigma attached to the sport. I am therefore really pleased me that you feel comfortable about coming along to play golf here at Colmworth.
Colmworth or North Beds Golf Course is in North Beds Countryside with superb views from many of the raised tee boxes. The course has a variety of golf hole layouts with water in play on 4 holes, undulating greens & tough par 3's, there is also par 3 course adjoining the main course & a driving range. After a game there is a welcoming club house, with a good selection of ales & excellent freshly cooked meals.
Thank you for your review and its so nice to see people other than golfers popping into our Coffee shop to enjoy the facilities.
