Sea cruise on the Yorkshire Belle on board you told all about the sea birds at Bempton cliffs, the scenery is fab. the cliffs are very steep and there are thousands of birds and they make a lot of noise, but if you are visiting Bridlington then have a cruise on the Yorkshire Belle, the crew are very good and helpful. so sail to Bempton cliffs on the Yorkshire Belle and see all the sea birds.
Although currently closed due to major improvements (new visitors centre, etc.); you must visit when you can. Wonderful views, majestic seabirds, interesting wildlife, etc., etc.
We've been a lot of times and the bird life on view is always stunning, Gannets, Razorbills, Guillemots and if you time your visit right you'll see puffins as they've breeding colonies there! They're doing the visitor centre up at the moment (due to complete early 2015 I think) so the reserve is a bit out of action but we'll be going again for sure!
Get out in the fresh air and watch the comings and goings of the birds as they return or leave this natural wonder. Whether it is cold, wet or dry the hundreds of birds visiting or living in this location can give hours of entertainment of you like this sort of thing.
well this is very good to go and see with a camera and so on very quiet well done paths seats and look out posts for people to take pictures you will not be disappointed
we didn't see the puffins - they're long gone at this time of year , but we did see a couple of dolphins , so were well chuffed.
We have been many times over the years and it never disappoints. The scenery and cliffs are spectacular, the birds are amazing and the photography opportunities are endless. There is a small café there for coffee and cake, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.I thoroughly recommend Bempton Cliffs, but do check out when the birds are there and nesting.
I have already uploaded a good selection of photos, taken from the top of the cliffs, to show the outstanding views. It was mid/late-summer when we visited and a lovely sunny day. Lots of gannets and other birds were nested in the pale cliffs. The walks begin from the visitor centre and go in both directions. We visited the viewing points in both directions. The scenery and views were different. At one viewing point there were so many birds you could barely see the cliffs.
I love it here! The ground is a bit uneven with no proper footpath so wear sensible shoes. The car park is small so get there early :) as you walk along the cliff tops you can hear the birds and the sea... It Really is so calming. There are various viewpoints so you can see the birds easily my favourites are the puffins. There is a little gift shop too I always come back here every year :) I love taking pictures with my new camera the photo opportunities are fab!
If you are looking for somewhere truly breathtaking then this is it the views are fantastic and the birds are just out of this world. The viewing points are well maintained and give the best view points you could ask for. The car park is a bit expensive but if you take into account the whole experience it's cheap at double the price. You can take your dog as long as it's on a lead which is understandable and you get what must be one of the best experiences in the country.
