I have been coming here to ski for many years. It's a very small mountain with limited terrain and no real easy access( depending where you are from). But what makes this place great is the lack of people. Even on holidays and school vacation weeks the parking lot never seems to fill up. This means that while you are there you will get your money's worth. You can do so many runs in such a short time that we never make it past noon before our legs have had enough. And with the addition of the high speed lift in recent years it has only gotten better. In my opinion there is no better mountain in New England to take a day trip to if you are looking for a great value and lots of fun.
Enjoyable small mountain. Would work well for a family trip. Snow was a bit icy in spots but not bad. Really enjoyed the glades and the run under the old rope tow.
We were there for a ski race. It was a great day. The conditions on the mountain and specifically the race course were fantastic. The chair ran at great speed so they for plenty or practice runs in. The race team that put up the course was super on getting it set on a cold day. We appreciate all that crotched does for HS race teams.
We're from CT and was looking for some ski lessons and r&r....looked online and saw crotched mtn. We were pleasantly surprised! Ski area was not too big and not too small...just right! Everyone was so friendly, teachers were great and very down to earth. Slopes were great. If you're looking for reasonable prices and a nice tranquil place to ski with the family..this is the place..no long lines, great burgers and awesome staff. We will be back! Thanks Crotched!!! ;)
We had never been to this mountain and wanted to go somewhere different. Went on Saturday, 2/14, and arrived shortly after 8 a.m. Boys were skiing by 9. The ticket process and ski rental area (one of my boys needed rental equip.) is very organized and spacious. Staff was very helpful in rental area. The conditions were great and snowed lightly all day. No lines for lifts and boys enjoyed the various terrain parks. We would definitely go back.
My group of 4 golfers played here. The price was exceptional for the value. It is a mounatin course and as such the views were spectacular. The course was in excellent condition. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would play this course each and every time I am in this area. This is a must play for any golfer visiting this area. We also had lunch at bar and the food was very good and tasty.
Just got back from a day at Crotched Mountain. It's amazing how few people there were on President's Day and how good the conditions were. It was blowing 30 - 35, so they had to slow the chairs down a couple of times, but with the sunshine it felt like Colorado! I hear tell when it snows up there they have some wonderful tree skiing. Look out for the "bears" in those small New Hampshire towns, though. When they say 30 they mean it!
My kids and I learned to ski here. It is a great family mountain. It has grown quite a bit since we started coming here. Wonderful , friendly place for all ages.
A great value without having to drive too far (all dfepndes where you live, I guess). Been to Crotched several times with youth groups and have always been pleased by the courteous "can'do" attitude of the the friendly staff and the work put in to grooming the mountain and providing a great experience!
I was able to get away one night during a business trip to ski at Crotched Mountain. Great skiing and very minimal crowds on the hill that night. Awesome value and fun night of skiing.
