I am please they did not charge to try the stuff if they had I would have asked for my money back. Pretty farm, nice drive to get there, nice people, bad wine
Nice little place. Carol (one of the owners) did our tasting. The wine was nice, but the beer was better. Glad we in stopped during the week, as I can imagine this place gets pretty busy on the weekends. Loved giving some attention to the kitties (Barley and Hopps) while enjoying our beer flight outside... they were quite the welcoming committee.
This place was dirty, muddy, stinky. However, they do have some awesome home made rootbeer. I will not go back here.
This used to be an excellent winery to go spend the day. Since Mr. Bias sold it, the wine has gone downhill. I used to be able to find something I could tolerate, just to spend the day with friends. Now there is nothing drinkable...thus, the reason they now sell beer!
I was here in October of 2010 and will never return. My sister and I went on a Friday afternoon, had THE MOST RUDE server EVER and there she stood smoking her damn cigarette while we're trying to taste their nasty OVERLY SWEET wine! One and done.
long drive from Hermann but not bad if you include trip to other wineries and distillery east of Hermann. Owners were nice and enjoyed talking with them. wines were good but I though they had very good beer. would like to visit in October we they have all their beers available. small fee for tasting beers. nice outdoor seating, indoor as well
The first Saturday of Nov. Bias Winery hosts a hayride and all you can eat chili featuring 3 types of chili with all the fixings. The hayride consists of traveling over there property of 75 acres with beautiful scenery and fantastic photo opportunity's. The chili was great, an added bonus was the fire pit outside and the fireplace going inside. Had lots of fun and will definitely be going back next year. There is a fee, it is $15.00 per person. And it is from 3pm-7pm.
We love, love, love this place! We always like to end our wine tour at Bias because they have both Wine and Beer, which is hard to find. You won't be disappointed. Nice selection of missouri wines to choose from and their microbrewery is awesome.
I am a wine drinker so I can't say anything about the beer, but the wine is not very good. We went to 6 wineries and this had the worst wine of all.
Will I go back? Doubtful. We decided to try this because it has a micro brewery in addition to the winery. I did not find anything special about this visit. The tasting was not particularly informational and there was a charge to try the beers. The wines and beers were okay. I have had better at other places. I was disappointed that the only beer options was to purchase a growler. I do not like growlers because even though I love bear I don't drink it fast enough before it goes flat. This is several miles outside of Hermann and a bit hard to find. I would only recommend this if you are looking for a scenic drive.
