Always enjoy the flea market here. It is clean, well run,and organized. The people are so friendly and helpful also. This is a definate stop while touring the Amish Country.
The shops display wares that are higher then average. Nothing for the average guy...lotsa craft items..place is clean however.
The Flea Market in Berlin is a must stop in the heart of Amish country. Although it's not all Amish, it has every thing from soup to nuts (actually) Do yourself a favor and visit the slow paced culture of the Amish community. Take the time to relax for a change.
There are lots of vendors selling all kinds of items. You will probably find something to buy. There is also a food court in the middle of the building if you need a quick snack.
Lots of stuff, but most if it was the same old stuff you saw at all the other shops in town. Nothing special. Pay to park, but it's only a dollar. Some of the vendors seemed very over priced.
We always go from Thursday thru Saturday so that we can visit both flea markets in the area. On busy days parking can be challenging but the building is large so it is not too crowded usually to be able to shop without too much difficulty.
Once upon a time flea markets were great stops to find unusual treasures. Now they've become markets for cheap, imported dollar items. This one is no different. Sure, a few booths sell country primitive items or "Amish" foods, but mostly this flea market, and the other one on Rt. 39 are cheap junk stores. It is clean and we'll organized. Unless you want T shirts, cheap household items, etc, then just go to the smaller shops in Berlin, Walnut Creek, etc.
This flea market had alot of empty stalls. Someone whom had alot of booths had just left. But still worth the visit and I am sure they will get busy as the summer rolls in. I personally like the walnut creek flea market better!
It had an eating area -- easy access to restrooms. Plenty of parking. We had a free parking pass from our hotel. They have a little bit of everything. Purchased "dollar general"-type items, a bonsai plant, candy, and country decorating items. Decent prices.
There is a great selection of everything. They also have a place to eat or just sit if you need a break.
