The pool is enclosed by walls and offers a great swimming experience that is different than other pools. The water is very warm hot springs and the pool is large. A fun time!
Went to the pool/soaking tub; $10 to get in and although the mineral water was nice the facility was poorly kept...peeling paint and overall not clean. There is another option to go to the free springs just down the road. Although these are clothing optional and perhaps not for everyone, I found it to be a much better choice.
I was so excited to go to a hot springs, but found this particular establishment disappointing. I felt like I was at a poorly kept community pool.
I was intrigued to visit, because the pool is fed by natural hot springs. At the site, there is little evidence of the natural spring.....the pool reminded me of a London Lido, except it was built out of wood. Yes it is slightly dated and a tad shabby around the edges, but we enjoyed our brief time here. We were half way through a long car journey and this was revitalising. There is a large pool for swimming and a hotter one for just soaking in.
Love this place and make a visit several times a year even if just passing along the 395. The waters are magical and a good soaking will do wonders for sore achy joints. Nice pool area and thermal baths. Friendly staff and snacks available.
Stayed here in a tent cabin one night while passing through with my son. Very nice tent cabins for good price and great pool and soaking pool. Must have been in the water for 6 hours it was so comfortable. Only advice would be to add more bathrooms for campground and rentals, only had two and they were very busy in the morning. Would definitely come back!
I live nearby and love to bring the kids when we can afford the steep prices. They let you bring your own floaties but also provide noodles to use. The pool is large and the soaking tub is hot and just deep enough to sit down in. It is old and run down with peeling paint and the smell of mildew in the dressing rooms but that's just character, right?
After finding this hot spring 4 years ago and have stopped by at least 5 times to soak and clean up. There are five pools of warm water in an outdoor setting. Great for a morning or evening place to relax. Pools are shallow but clean and warm. Some nudity but still ok for a family or those who are modest. You just pick your pool, strip and enjoy. Lots of backpackers stop by and clean up after a long trek and skiers and tourists just love to soak in the warm water in a beautiful and outdoor setting. Best thing is it is free.
Seemed like an interesting idea to have the hot springs water accessible without having to sit in a hole in the ground somewhere else (as referred to by some other posters on here which may be free, but also have most people stripping off to enjoy the waters which didn't suit my husband or myself really). This instead was refreshing, clean water here in a contained environment. We walked across as were staying in one of the trailers. Entrance was included in our trailer rental charge. There were plenty of loungers, and it nice and quiet when we swam (4pm on a Friday). There was a nice friendly girl in the gift shop (where you can buy a selection of what seemed to be quite random items). There were various flotation devices so you can literally lay back and relax in the warm water. The hotter, smaller pool is hot tub temp and really relaxing. The cooler larger pool is lovely too and has a spray of hot water coming right out filling the pool with constant fresh naturally heated water – if you stand right underneath it, it’s pretty hot but very enjoyable. It is slightly retro and so you might spot patches where the paint is worn away or looks a little tired, but in our opinion it all added to the experience and is part of the character of a place like this - if you want pristine and shiny, go to a Spa in a posh hotel but if you want authentic and relaxing, this will do the trick.
Worth the money if you stay all day. Bring a picnic and you can sit outside or take a walk around the grounds. Pools are big enough that the kids don't get on your nerves. There is always the hot ditch too.
