The museum is an excellent place to visit. It is free to all visitors--there is a box for donations, and the volunteers give free guided tours! You also get a brochure of the civil war markers for the town of Bloomfield at the museum. I didn't realize that this small town had so much history. A museum full of Stars and Stripes military newspapers and memorabilia, a library with the full history of the Civil War records, a Civil War soldier's cemetery, and Civil War era markers around the town. Definitely worthwhile visit!
