This theater has always catered to an upscale, artsy/sophisticated crowd so you'll only find a narrow range of movies here but they all tend to be great! The theater was also recently redone and its wonderful....3 theaters where you can reserve your seats, come early and grab a coffee at the Great Lakes Coffee or a drink at the bar. Food is better and healthier as well. Hate to go anywhere else - this place has spoiled me. Does tend to get crowded on weekends. Get a Maple Theater "frequent flier" card for discounts.
All new seats. Respectful crowd lets you enjoy the movie. Best movie theater in town. We go about 5 times per year and it is always good. Check it out.
If you are tired of all the mega theatres and want to experience a movie with a smaller more intimate setting, this is the theatre for you. There is only a few movies playing at any given time but its usually a great selection. They also seem to have viewings of movies that are shown on limited screens. There is a little cafe area onsite that looks very comfy. Perfect location for a dinner & movie date.
Great selection of independent and first run movies. Love that you can go to the movies and eat dinner all at one place. Comfortable seats. Support local - go to The Maple Theater!
Amazing theater. Seats are extremely comfortable. Great movies. There's nothing bad to say about the maple theater.
We love this theater. It has first class adult movies.... by adult, I don't mean sexy, I mean movies that appeal to adults, intelligent and well-done, not just action flicks. The seats are comfy and you can reserve your seats on weekend evenings, over the internet, so you don't have to arrive early to get one on the aisle or in the center. Also there is a great café in the front of the theater and you can eat there before, after, or bring a snack into the theater. Also, wine, beer and cocktails. If you pay an extra $5 you can reserve a seat in the back 2 rows with tables and have servers bring your order to you. You can merge "dinner and a movie".
I learned of this theater from a Tugg movie screening of Swearnet. Tickets were 12 , reasonable or average priced. Liquor and beer served here-but very pricey. 2 long islands, bud light, and a shot of whiskey with a large popcorn ran us 47 bucks!I was pleased with this venue, would go back (but avoid purchasing alcoholic beverages!) Bloomfield police are VERY present in this area, and (as they should) will not hesitate to arrest and charge you with a DUI! Don't drink and drive from any location ; especially near this theater!
The Maple Theater is one of a kind! Great selection of films, advance seat selection, cool cafe in the lobby. However, for some reason, the clientele likes to talk/respond to the plot/action during the movies. Be prepared if this bothers you. Otherwise, it's a terrific theater.
The ballet from St. Petersburg was marvelous and so was the diligentof the M theater was excellent He is one of the top conductors in the world. However the sound projection at the Maple is below standards.??The original tape sounds much better.P v d Muysenberg
Very comfortable seating, advanced seat selection, clean bathrooms, coffee house, live music sometimes.
