Easily accessible from the bike trails, No problem parking, or getting a spot to sit inside, they've got great beers, always something special in rotation. The food is consistently good for such a small place, and the games we want to watch are usually on the TVs.
Oldest craft brewery in America with a decent little tour. Nice pub area with decent food. Take the tour and enjoy free beer at the end...lots of free beer...I did mention beer and free...right? Seriously people...this is worth the stop.
We have been eating here pretty much every week for the past 5 years. I love this place. If you are a beer person, the beer is very good- not the absolute best in Boulder, but very good. The tour is fun and informative and involves free beer, which is always nice. The food is simple pub fare, but is also very reasonable priced. They have vegetarian burgers that are not just frozen gardenburgers, which is nice. They have house-made green chili- both veg and pork- the veg is delicious. There is a great patio with view of the Flatirons on a quiet street, a nice bar area with a large bar and also tables, and a dining room area that views the brew equipment. There is also an event room. There can be a wait, but usually if you get there reasonably early, there is not. The service is usually good. Most of the employees have been there for years and years, so that tells you something about the place. This is simple food and good beer, and it is in sort of an office-park area, so it is off the beaten path. For tourists, I think it is an opportunity to taste some good beer, have some relatively inexpensive food, hang out with the locals and relax. For those of us who call Boulder home, it is a great every day place to eat. They also have a children's menu and are reasonably child-friendly.
What's not to like about a brewery tour? And Boulder Beer does it very well....casual, fun, interactive. Small brewery, with personal attention, and obvious love of beer displayed by the staff. Plus the tastings afterwards were nothing short of amazing! At most breweries a sample of two or three brews is pretty average. Once the tour group was in the tasting room, pitchers (yes, I said pitchers) of beer appeared on the long table where we were seated. The next 45 minutes were so much fun with strangers talking about which beer they liked/didn't like, passing pitchers around, and watching with disbelief as MORE beer was brought out! It's free, tours daily (except Sundays) at 2pm. Go early, have a bite of pretty good bar food, and enjoy one of the first microbrewies in the state.
Took a tour of Boulder Brewery. Our guide was fun and informative. Tour takes about 45 minutes which ends with free samples. The blue beer was great. I ordered the stout milkshake. Love stout milkshakes!
We enjoyed the short tour of the micro brewery then enjoyed many tasty samples. We also sat out on the patio for dinner. Great food & beer. I was a Friday, so allot of the locals packed the place. The bar/patio area is quite small, but was a enjoyable atmosphere. Favorite brew: Hazed & Confused.
Absolutely loved this place! Beer was great! Staff was great! Location seemed a bit odd, but so glad we foun this place... Will be back!
We decided to check this place out-the closest brewery to our apartment ;) They have happy hour specials every day of the week (some food, some beers). The servers were friendly and helpful. The beers we tried were tasty (and affordable!)-and there are still a bunch left to try! The food came out quickly and was delicious. The atmosphere was fun and there were games on t.v. if that's your thing. We'll definitely go back.
Definitely worth the stop if you weren't going to come already. We did a flight that was every beer on the menu! Pretty good way to get a feel for their flavors. It does get pretty busy (we came on Thursday near dinner) they also serve food!
Ted was our guide and did a great job. It was interesting, informative, and fun. The beer tasting at the end surpassed my expectations. Great job!!!
