The Pearl Street Mall has a little of everything from buscars, to restaurants, to a great bookstore and more.
This example of urban planning done right now draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to Boulder annually. Lots of shops and restaurants.
Visited Boulder in February and got hit with a BIG snow storm. That did not slow us down or shut down Pearl Street. The business were all open and greeted us warmly as we ducked into stores to warm up and knock the snow off our heads. But it was also so pretty outside on the street with the quietly falling snow, what a fun day! We've been before on a sunny day, when full of activity, which was also great. Pearl Street is a great place to visit while in Boulder, no matter the weather!
Pearl Street has an eclectic mixture of shopping opportunities, most with a local flavor, rather than larger chain stores. I loved the Klein Smith art gallery, small boutique dress shops and excellent restaurants. Most of the cross roads have been blocked off, so walking up - down, and side-to-side is easy and safe. A very fun place to look, even if you aren't shopping to buy anything.
The shopping is unique. The setting is gorgeous. There are plenty of good places to eat and live performers are fun. The lights at Christmas were so festive. Loved being on Pearl Street Mall! It is a must when visiting.
So many individual shops and different wares to fill your suitcase with. Superb restaurants on every corner and people pleasant.
This downtown pedestrian mall has an interesting mix of local and chain shops to browse in. We did find that it tends to open a bit later in the day and some spots are not open until 11AM. The streetscape is nicely landscaped and includes a wide variety of sculptures to look at. In nicer weather there are usually a wide range of buskers performing to keep you entertained. Restaurants range from a multitude of coffee shops, to interesting cafes, to various national/regional chains. All in all the mall is an interesting place to kill a few hours.
Great place to watch all the yo-yo's in Boulder, grab a bite and a pint, and pick up some souvenirs. Parking can be a little tricky, pay to park and don't worry about it, park where you shouldn't and expect a ticket. Great place on the weekends in Summer!
sun is out so much here that it makes a great walk especially in summer with performers and plenty of places to eat and browse.
Nice bars, atmosphere. Comes to live during Friday and Saturday nights. My favorite eateries are Japango, Boulder Cafe, Old chicago and Pasta Jay.
